goated gloves

Aden M.,

I've been through a ton of different pairs of gloves trying to find the perfect ones for me, and all of the ones I've tried start to fall apart in ~3 months. Landed on these a while ago, probably never gonna buy another set of gloves that aren't these again. Super durable and breathable, also thin enough in the finger area for smaller and delicate tasks. Touchscreen capability is nice, terry cloth is nice, hooks at the bottom are nice.nnP.S. 5.11, make multicam/multicam black variants! =}

Some guy trying gloves

DANIEL M.,

They're high quality gloves but sizes are too small. I wear a LG Mechanix but XL 5.11. Pretty sure it's 5.11 that has it wrong.

Better than expected!

Carlray B.,

I love how they are ergonomically designed for your hand and required very little break-in... They felt great from the first time I tried them on... Great job!

2.0's, a downgrade from orgiginals.

Anthony,

The original Competition shooting gloves are one of my favorite shooting gloves, they fit fantastic. I am right on the edge of L and XL gloves, so I typically order XL, as in a L, my fingers bottom out. 1.0's only issue is that they used LYCRA on the sides of the fingers and it gets snagged by the hook side of Velcro. The 2.0's does address this issues by changing this side material to something better, but they have shrunk the fingers, and seem to have used a hand pattern that has a crooked index finger (HARD TIME 2.0 gloves have this same issue!). The fingers are generally tighter & the Velcro closure BARELY reaches closed, with significant effort (it wants to be only about 1/3 the way on unless I really stretch/force it) 1.0's closed NO PROBLEM. The palm material seems thinner, weaker. If these were the 1.0's without the LYCRA they would be a home run, but as is they fall short. Going to an XXL glove would leave a bunch of loose material at the finger tips so that is not an option.

Decent but not perfect

Raymond C.,

This is my second pair as I lost a previous pair I owned about two years ago. This pair seems to be made of slightly cheaper material especially on the palms . Prior pair on the palm area felt more like a felt material this pair is a more cheap stiff almost papery material. Overall I still like them and would still recommend them as they are snug and add purchase to grip while handling firearm .

Great balance of dexterity and warmth

Bryan,

I got these for a cold day of hunting in Wyoming in December. It was a very cold day and my hands stayed comfortable all day, but I still had the dexterity to shoot while wearing them. I did remove them to reload magazines, but I probably could have left them on for that too.nnLike other reviews have noted, they do run a bit small. I normally wear a large, but after trying on a couple of pairs in the store I got the extra large.

The Perfect Grip!

James F.,

These 5. 11 Competition Shooting 2. 0 Gloves are outstanding. They offer an incredible, snug fit right out of the packageit's like they were custom-made.nThe grip is fantastic; I noticed a significant improvement in weapon manipulation and trigger control during my last range session. They are lightweight, breathable, and provide excellent dexterity without being bulky.nFor anyone serious about competitive shooting or just looking for top-tier range gloves, these are a must-buy. Zero compromises on quality or performance.

These are awesome i run one only 1 on left hand for all my tactical pistol classes . This is my 2nd pair they are not the end all be all just the glove i prefer . they do run small i dont have massive hands but i wear a xl in this glove and its perfect Im 5ft 9 . I use the outer set on my chest rig ,they are great for work and definitely not the warmest thing but different gloves serve different missions .

If you are ordering these gloves, one size above your size. Gloves are snug if you wear a large get extra large and if you wear extra large get XXL. Material seems good. Ill be taking these to the range to test them out.

Sizing runs small

Russ G.,

Ordered 12 pair of these gloves and the sizing seems to run very small. The LARGE and XL (Mens) seems to be the same size glove.

Guadalupe G.,

The gloves feel good and Im able to use the touchscreen on my computer without taking them off. I use them on a daily basis while on patrol and at the range. They come in three colors which is great for me. My only complaint is I wish the Velcro strap was a wrap around style for a more secure fit, otherwise a great glove.

Return of 511 competition series 2 shooting gloves

Michael A.,

When I ordered the competition series 2 gloves, I assumed they would be different than the first series. I have two pair of the first series and I ordered a third pair because Im wearing one pair out. When I go to competitions, shooting pistols on a hot summer day the heat gets to be enough that the gloves get fairly well saturated with sweat and need to be changed out. nnI was very disappointed that the competition series 2 glove is not, in my opinion, any different than the first series. So what is it about the competition series 2 that makes it different?

Weird thumbs

Joseph,

Gloves fit ok, but the thumbs are double pointed. Both my gloves point into a very sharp U shape. Does not feel good and my cheaper $20 generic gloves, are shaped to the tips of the fingers perfect. I dont know why the folds are in there, but I cannot wear them properly with the extra material.

Good glove

Paul,

So this set would have gotten a 4-5 star rating but the first range day when pulling a glove one of the loops broke. I definitely prefer gloveless with pistol, but rifle I like some gloves. This pair give plenty of feel of feel on the trigger and enough protection for when things heat up. Im sure I may have a one off experience so dont let that distract you but first range event and not being able to secure the gloves handily on a carabiner was annoying

Excellent gloves, hang tags break though

Austen,

I've owned several different pairs of 5.11 gloves and these have been the most comfortable for shooting. There's also some very handy padding on the knuckles which is conveniently where sim rounds always seem to hit during training, so that's a huge plus. My only gripe is the hang tabs on the wrist portion of the gloves were cheaply sewn on mine. After a few months of taking them on and off my belt they have torn off entirely.

Great Gloves for Range/Daily Use!

Jackson,

I am in the National Guard and whenever we have a range weekend I use these as they arent huge and bulky like the mechanix gloves my unit issues. So they are great to have in my cold weather area since we only go to the range in the cold months. Keeps my hands reasonably warm when holding the freezing cold rifle haha! But I definitely say that this pair of gloves tops em all. I use it for daily use as well, great pair to have in my go bag.
