I will have to say these are the most comfortable boots I have worn in a while. Great fit, keep my feet dry and cool. I will defiantly buy another pair when these give up on me. I also want to say that the salesman at the Columbus, Ohio store was the best salesman I have encountered in a long time. I came in for a different pair and left with these because they were better fit and more comfortable.

Gone through a lot of different brands and styles of boots over the years, none seem to compare. Durable, great support and traction for hiking and traversing. Out of the box very comfortable. Good weight distribution.nI had a knee replacement about seven years ago, so having good ankle support with a light boot is key for longevity. I would recommend these but it’s to anybody seriously looking to get the most out of their adventures and not having sore feet at the end of the day.

I purchased these as replacement boots while downrange, and man am I glad I did. The rough terrain made work challenging at times with my old pair but now has become unnoticeable while on my feet. The solid construction has held up despite the rigorous day to day activities and the soles make it feel like I’m walking on clouds. Will be buying two more as soon as I return to home station as these are now my go to boots.

In less than two months the interior heel area deteriorated badly, leaving sharp edges which cut through my socks and caused bleeding on both of my heels. These were the first pair of 5.11 boots to fail me, and I have had several different pairs. Inferior manufacturing on these boots, Returned these and ordered a different style. Bad boot but EXCELLENT customer service. Still a loyal customer .

Super cool and great shape to feel like part of your foot. Be forewarned if you are flat footed they have a bit of an arch which is supportive but after a few hours they can press on your arch a bit. Im thinking it will relax after break-in.

This is probably my seventh or eighth pair of their boots. I have loved every single one.nThis one in particular is my favorite for spring and summer work. They break in very fast super comfortable, very lightweight and breathable, not as waterproof as I would have liked.nBut I gortex, every new pair of boots. I get just in case

This is my third pair of these exact boots in three years. The shoelaces dont last and I have to replace them. 511 stop selling replacement laces and I have to go through Amazon. Other than that, Ill keep buying them as long as 511 keeps making them. If I could get them an army green that would even be better. I would like them to last longer, but Im pretty hard on my boots.

I wanted a good range day boot, good traction for muddy weather. The tread is exactly what I wanted and the look matches it. I wear Timbs at work occasionally (office job) and these were way more comfortable. I honestly was showing them off. My feet did feel pretty warm so well see how summer works out. Fall/Winter no problem. Great boot for the price.

You only have the dark coyote but not black or dark grey options! I would happily buy them if given the option. They not design it for trekking or high impact activities. After walking for only 4 days the sole has damage and the cord holder its getting worse. I will say that is not a good choice if you are going to used for trekking. Only for soft activities.

Gentleman. The boot has a design problem for trekking in the lace adjustment system its so easy to produce high damage with rocks and with hard road. Sadly I can not send pictures. I was using these boot for 4 days and it has a lot of damage...nnAbout the rest its a good boot, but you should not use it for trekking.

Trash boots. Side seam tore after 6 uses in the field. Grommets on the laces popped off. 5.11 wont honor a manufacturers warranty after 3 months according to the 5.11 store I got them. I asked them to throw them away for me after they refused to give me an exchange for the trash I wasted money on. I would post a picture for proof but the review wont allow me.

A little of a pain to get on and off due to the lock on the laces. The boot is very comfortable. I have a wide foot and the 12 wide give me plenty of room. The boot was comfortable right away and did not need to be broken in. The cost is steep for me, but the boot is more comfortable than anything else I tried.

These boot are the most amazing boots Ive have ever worn. Only if 5.11 had authorized boots exactly like these when I was in the Army. The boots they have now that are authorized to wear are very uncomfortable and not durable at all. These A/T 6 inch have been put through a lot worse and been holding up. I highly recommend these boots. But stay away from the boots that are AR 670-1 complaint.

Makes taking shoes off, or sometimes putting them on, more work. Ok. I've had these boots about a year now. Super comfortable, fit good. But , like others have said , the soles are absolutely not made for any harsh or rough terrain. The tread on my boots are literally tearing off and hanging . I've never seen anything like it. They've worn down a little, but mainly, the tread pieces are ripping away from the bottom of the soles. The rubber is stretchy , doesn't seem like it would rip free like it does. Rather disappointing , cause the boots are super comfortable.They'd probably be fine if you lived on a nice white sand beach with no shells or out in Baja or sand dunes, maybe if you wore them to a desk job . But any rocky or rough terrain , forget about it.

Contemplating buying my third pair in a little less than a year

I really like these boots. They are comfortable and have some cool features, such as the locking lace eyelets. They are not very durable, however, and as others have noted, the soles wear out very quickly, to the point of becoming completely smooth within just a couple of months. The upper portion follows soon thereafter and begins to split at the seams. I am on the fence about replacing these again. On one hand, they require little to no break in period, but its becoming hard to justify a pair of boots that don't even last 6 months.

The boot looks good and feels comfortable during light/casual and heavy/outdoors use. However, in my experience, this isnt a good option for serious outdoor use (hiking, hunting, etc). In less than a year with mostly casual use and a few light hikes, the soles have worn down substantially and the upper part of the left shoe has a 2 inch split/detachment where the sole meets the upper fabric. These boots are best suited for the office or casual settings where you want to look tacticool.

Boots held up for about a year. Laces gave out before anything else. Overall, they are great. Lightweight, but also made out of great material that make this boot perform. Used for work, hunting, hiking, and everyday use, they become my go to for any situation. I have pictures of the new pair I bought today next to the old pair but I don't see an option to post photos.

The boots are very comfortable and have good size inside the cavity where your foot would go. Good cushioning as well, comfortable. The only problem I have with the boots is when you are driving it rubs right on the center of your of the back of your foot. Maybe another small piece of foam to cushion the weight when youre in the position? The boots are nice to work in all day.

Yeah, it hurts a little bit the top, but overall when hell of a boot i want to give a shout out to David Ramos he helped me in such a way that no one ever would he deserves a high rise that's how u take care of customers

I purchased these boots about a year and a half ago and love them. They are very comfortable and fit my feet great. The problem is the lugs on the bottom are ripping off and the sole is separating and splitting from the shoe. Not something I would expect from boots that are mainly worn in a office setting.

These were my favorite boots until 6 month in the bottom had no tread left, completely slick. I even gave them a second chance and ordered another pair. I'm 3.5 month in and it looks like the wear is the same. The sad part is the majority of the use is walking on grass and dirt. I will not be giving 5.11 a third chance!

I love these boots, but the heal cup is very narrow causing the fiber board to dig into the bottom of my feet. Better inserts fix that problem though. The wide toe box is perfect. If you have trouble finding wide width boots, you'll love these. Overall a very great boot. Highly recommend

I love these boots, but there are some issues. The toe box is wide enough for my feet, so no discomfort there, but the heel is way to narrow. The removable fiber board is a great concept, but it digs into my heel and arch. An added 3/4 insert seems to alleviate this problem. All in all it is one of the more comfortable boots I've tried lately, I just hope they can fix this issue with the heel in the future. I love these boots and would totally recommend them, just be aware if you have wider heels there is some discomfort

I usually wear a womens 11, I tried on the mens 9.5 and they fit perfectly. They are so airy and light. Not heavy or clunky. They have a nice cloud like insole in them that you can remove or replace with something else you prefer, I like the feel. The color is really beautiful will match some tannLegs perfectly for a nice summer boot to go shooting in.

As a 25 year military vet and fitness addict, I have worn numerous tactical and hiking boots. This is, by far the most comfortable boot I have worn right out of the box. No breaking required and was made to fit. I was concerned that the suede upper would be too hot in the AZ heat, but the web ventilation on the sides is adequate to keep my feet cool. I also appreciate how the laces lock into place; tried a 25 pound load and the ATLAS system kept the boot in place with no slippage. Definitely considering the 8 as well where I need higher coverage, the the 6 definitely provides adequate support.

I was hoping this boot was a comparable replacement for my beloved a/t Taclite boots that were the most comfortable, durable boots I ever owned. I completely wore out 3 pair. After 511 discontinued the Taclite I purchased the Cable Walker the most uncomfortable boot I ever owned and sold in a garage sale for $10. The new a/t 6 are now the 2nd most uncomfortable boot Ive owned. Theyre much heavier than the Taclite and the toe box and heel are hard and barely padded with no padded collar around the top of the boot. The midway lace lock makes it almost impossible to unlace the boots when you take them off without sitting down and using both hands. Thankfully I have a few miles left on my 3rd pair of Taclites while I look for something to replace them. Meanwhile these A/t 6s go back to 511

I have only worn these 5 times so still reviewing and will follow up. First impressions was how did they capture those colors in the photos? The Dark coyote is dull and more of a blah doo doo brown. The picture gets way more lighter Auburn hues and more contrasts with stitching and rubber colors on sole. So thus far I am not high rating on the Aesthetics but the fit is good. They are comfortable other than I am oddly noticing a pinch on my left foot only at the furthest out eyelet shoe string hole area. I am guessing after more break in it will be better. They seem well made they have good grip and Ill follow up with durability after I get 30-40 wears in. One area they could upgrade is padding in the upper shaft area. No issues with it just a place they could improve especially if you choose to run your shoe strings looped once around your ankles. I did that one day as the strings are just barely long enough for my ankle but a little long if you dont. I dont recommend the wrap the shoe lace around and have not done that again. I think you will be happy with the purchase just dont expect the boots to be eye grabbers and will post later with follow up!

I have been having issues with these boots since last year got them online at 5.11 started wearing the product by late April 2022 and by late July the inside plate cracked and makes noise every time I walk and the outsole of the boot deteriorated too fast I see parts dangling I was deployed at the moment and this boots did not help I had to buy a different pair

Not super confident in the longevity of them because of that. If 5.11 could rework these with more durable rubber then they would be a home run.

After a 8 hour shift of standing and patrolling the imperfections begin to show through as pressure spots. May end up returning these for a refund.

I have never been more disappointed in a pair of boots than I was with these. I recieved these boots the beginning of March2022 and retired them today. (Oct 9th 2022) By June, each boot had a small tear where the boots flex for toe bend. Fast forward to today, both boots are torn where the sole meets the leather...tear length is about 6" per boot. For $150+, I expected much more, I DO NOT recommend these boots.

Really difficult to put on, chocks on each side of boot hold laces tight very tough to get laces loose enough to pull on boot. Whom ever thought this up, and the stuffed shirt that approved it... need to be disciplined. Bead or piping around top of boot is very stiff, need some small bit of PADDING. As long as I don't lace the boot up tightly, it's not a problem. Problem is the boot needs to be tightly laced to keep foot from moving around whilst walking. HMMMM?

I usually like to try boots on before I buy them, but I took a chance on these since I already have a pair of 5.11 5 boots. They seem true to size - Im a female but I prefer mens boots and I got my usual size 10 (I like to have some room) and they fit very comfortably with plenty of toe room. The 6 cut is also what I prefer in some boots, and these are fairly comfortable even without padding in the ankle support area. I wore them to a meeting right out of the box and noticed after a couple of hours my ankles started getting a little irritated, but Im chalking that up to break in time for now. They look great and the color is perfect for wearing khakis or jeans. I wish they made these in black, and I kind of wish they were 5 instead of 6 - that 1 inch difference seems to make a difference in ankle comfort long-term for me. They seem fairly breathable, which is a big deal in the south Texas heat. Overall, I love how they look and fit, and they are definitely solidly made and Im happy with my purchase.

This was my first pair of 5.11 boots. First and foremost, they were the most comfortable boot I've ever worn right out of the box. I was stoked how great they felt. I started wearing them at the beginning of April 2022. It is now July 19th 2022 as I write this. There is a hole on my left boot on the outside where the boot flexes, AND almost all of the tread on the bottom has ripped off. Not worn off, RIPPED off. I really, REALLY liked them but for the price, they're not going to cut it for me. Just for comparison, I typically get 1.5 to 2 years out of my normal "go-to" boot company. These, 4 months. Still usable but I'm pretty sure they will deteriorate quickly now with the hole.

One of the best pairs of tactical-style boots Ive ever owned. They fit really well. Theyre snug, but super easy to put on and really comfortable. My feet dont ache at the end of a long day like they do with other boots. Ive worn these in the snow and mud and they kept my feet dry too. Love the way they look too. My foot is comfortable, fit is good, materials and finish seem to be solid. nShoes I typically wear a 9.5 boots and running shoe I buy 10. Toungue loop is a great assist when putting on your boots. Loop on back of boot not so great, needs to be bigger.

Color is great, I like the look for some reason I thought they would look a bit more sneakerish when I got them (ordered online) but they are a boot. I think it is because I have really wide feet, that brings me to the next point. Fit was really good because I have wide feet, I have bout really expensive boots before that have not had a wide foot option and I make it work bit it really sucks when a place doesnt offer wide feet in my foot size. Especially when I spend more than 40 dollars. I will say I forgot long socks one day and the 6 inch back really dug into my skin and it took a while for that area to not be raw. Maybe I didnt have them tight enough too?

After wearing these for the first time, about 8 hrs, the area above my achilles, where the top of the boot ends, is so sore I will have to wait a week to wear them again. I was wearing thicker socks than normal. They were also a touch on the small side, length and toe box width, and thats after I took out the extra firm insert. Other than that, they are comfortable and supportive.

So far these boots are the best I have owned to date. Excellent ankle support, solid construction, slip and oil resistance with orthopedic consideration. Thanks to 5.11 and their design team, I was saved from a fall in ice only days ago; the results could have been far worse without the A/T 6" boots (the boots themselves suffered ZERO damage). I am former military and can say for certain that they meet or exceed anything we were supplied. Also, I run an 11 regular width and even with Protalus M100 inserts and Odor Eaters I still have room (I also wear Darn Tough Vermont Light Hiker Micro Crew socks which are very thin). If ever offered in another colorway, I'll buy another pair. Cannot recommend them enough.

The boots are very comfortable and fit very well but the laces can be an issue. It has cinch assisters about the middle of the boot. So you pull them tight under the assisters but they loosen before you can tighten them above the assisters.nnColor and look are phenomenal! I love both! We will see how they hold up with daily wear.

Almost a year ago i bought the A/T 8" non-zip boots and love them. Size 10 and fit perfectly and most importantly comfortably. I only wear them occasionally as I'm usually in steel toe work style boots or a warm muck boot in the colder seasons so they have not gotten a ton of abuse but i know they can handle it from what i have already done in them. Multiple hikes in Michigan's beautiful upper peninsula, stacking wood outside and shooting sessions back on my families outdoor shooting range and a lot more. So when i seen the 6" version i didn't hesitate to buy them and cannot wait to break them in as well. I plan on buying another pair or even two despite knowing they are built to last because I don't want to ever not have a pair if 5.11 decides to stop making them. You will not regret dropping your coin on these.

Ill start with the color. I should have paid more attention as on the website it states that it is a dark coyote but the pictures look like it is the standard coyote. But overall pleased. Im still trying to get used to how to lace them up. The transition from the foot to the ankle has a lock on it to keep the laces from slipping but not a big deal once you figure it out.
