me and my buddy both bought these boots we have the exact same issue which is the heel the back of the boot on the right foot where our heel sits has a hole and is painful to walk with i've had these boots for about 9 months and he has had em for about 6 months

I love the boots and fit real comfortable and with the zipper so convenient I use them for trucking. I go on duty fueling my truck at truck stops and use them at Truck yards , I don't do too much walking I was surprised after almost a year, they were wore out on the bottom of the soles ,

I purchased these boots over 2 years ago and I am still using them on 12 hour patrol shifts. The zipper is starting to get stuck and not wanting to zip up. I have to force the zipper sometimes. Overall best pair of boots I've owned. If i could redesign these it would be without the zipper. Would recommend and purchase again.

I have to order these boots every 3 months because the tread give out after 2 months and the boot starts to fall apart. nnI am a mailman that walks 10 miles a day. I enjoy these light weight boots. They are comfortable and convenient with the zipper. But, wish they lasted longer.

I bought these boots in November. I've worn them almost every day for 6 months. They were comfortable right out of the box. I'm slightly disappointed with how fast the soles have worn and now a seam has started to come apart. I've worn 5. 11 boots for several years and this is the first pair not to last a whole year or longer.

I have mixed feeling about these boots but I did just order another pair hoping I wont have the same problem as before. I owned my first pair for only 8 months about really thought they woulda lasted longer for the price. they are very comfy but not sure on the quality on both boots on the same sport the boot separated from the sole on the outside of the boot making anything be able to get in. hopefully round 2 will be better.

I purchased these shoes to work in and these boots feel great! The only thing I do not like is the side zipper. I wear a thick wool sock and still the zipper tends to put unnecessary pressure around my ankle and tends to hurt after awhile until I adjust it. Adjusting it only works for a short time.

I work in law enforcement and have had these boots for a few months; here are my observations:nThe good: These boots feel very well made, are very supportive, offer excellent traction, and are extremely comfortable to wear daily. They have more of a "shoe" feel than a boot feel.nThe bad: The only real flaw is the flaps inside the shoe for the side zippers; more than a few times, I have had to wrestle with the zipper because it got caught on the inner flap. This doesn't impact performance, but it is annoying nonetheless.nnOverall, I love them. These boots are very well-performing and are of great value, easily holding their own to similar, more expensive tactical boots from other companies. I recommend them.

I have had these boots for almost two years, and they are still the same in comfort now as they were when I bought them two years ago. I work in Hospital security in one of the major hospitals in the Atlanta area and I'm on my feet for 12 hours a day, these boots have stood up to every challenge I have put them through and performed exceptionally well in all conditions. I have received many compliments on the look as well and I would highly recommend these boots to any professional that needs a good supportive boot for their particular job. And they are priced very reasonable as well. Thank you for providing high quality footwear for those of us who still need it.

So I originally bought these boots in February 2022 and though they gave me good service I must admit there is a design problem. It the past when it rained my feet remained dry until one time I felt my sock get a bit damp on the right side of my right foot, my thought was it must be the zipper section that let a tiny bit of water in and thought nothing of it as I should just avoid puddles going forward. It wasn't until this past Friday when the rain storm hit NYC where I knew something was wrong. The downpour was so heavy that my feet soak as if I had running shoes on and when I got home to my surprise the boots on both had a tears from the side where I assume the glue and stitching held. Comfort wise, this held me down to the very end and I never replace the foam that came with it. I believe the 3 stars is warranted as the only drawback for this boot is the flaw in design for that specific part of the boots and for the price I would suggest looking for a different model

I really enjoy wearing these boots. I do a lot of alligator taxidermy so Im out in the swamplands for most of the day. Sometimes I carry 3 gators out of the marsh at a time! I know its a lot but I have developed a technique for it. Any who, these boots keep my feet relatively dry and I can carry all three. The all terrain soles dont allow me to walk on water yet so they are not truly all terrain but close enough. Hope this helps. Im off to my next adventure in my new shiny boots!

These are some of the most painful boots I have ever worn. I have already put 30k worth of steps into them and I dread having to complete my 12hr shift. The way they bend while walking grinds the bones in the top of my feet. The breathability of the is so poor my feet stay damp even with powder so then the skin begins to wrinkle and fold and push together and causes more pain. Plus they have no shock absorption so my knees are actually hurting when with my old Danner boots my knees were fine. Of course I'm stuck with a 160$ pair of boots because cant return them after wearing outside.nnI am giving an extra star because they are great looking boots.

Don't know how , but you've managed to make the world's most comfortable tactical boot. For my journey has been tiresome, being a destined flat foot from birth no boot ,no not one has ever been comfortable out of the box, but then you came into my life..... It's as if the keebler elf's cousin matt cobbler leaves his hut in middle earth, at half past dusk before the quarter of dawn. To go the the 5.11 factory and put his elf hands on every pair of boots.............. I think where they stitched reenforced leather by the small toes was poorly placed. Gonna be difficult to break that part of the boot in.

Over the years Ive had several pairs of the ATAC 6 inch side zip. 511 discontinued these and came out with ATAC 2.0. Ordered them and returned them after a day. Huge disapointment. Shopped several other brands and came back to 511. Found these A/T s and really like them. Took 2 12 hour shifts to break them in but now they fit great. Highly recommend.

The boot is very well made, the sizing runs correct, the zipper is great, makes for easy on/off. The one thing I didnt like was that it wasnt as comfortable as I had expected it to be, it feels a little on the stiff side. After an hour or two of standing in place, you begin to feel it. If I could change anything about this boot to make it better, it would be to add more inner cushion. Overall its a great boot.

I am a police officer at a school district where I stand for 85 to 90% of the time of my eight hour shift Monday to Friday. I had previously tried these boots in store and felt that the regular size was a bit too narrow for my liking and I ended up ordering my size wide and they fit great. They were easy to break in and are very light compared to other duty boots the zipper seems durable and the laces are strong. Initially I could feel the zipper closure on my ankle but after breaking in I dont feel them anymore the thread is great grippy and aggressive but not too aggressive that it carves dirt and drops it everywhere. I usually wear ankle high socks and dont have a problem with them rubbing into the boots. I usually leave the laces tied and just zip the boots up when Im ready for my day I did however add a paracord loop in the back of each boot to ease my foot into them I have not tried how waterproof they are however they are holding up nice I will add pictures of them after a month of use without cleaning without shining overall very good product hopefully they last as long as my other 5.11 boots did 2 plus years
