This is a great hood to wear when you don't have a hood on your jacket. Able to tuck it inside your jacket, keep your neck warm without using the hood and then pull the hood up should you need to!

I recently purchased the Stratos Hood, both in black and ranger green before the winter season. Within the first couple of days of wearing at work, I received a lot of compliments. Even co-workers who wore a skull cap and a scarf, asked me where I got it and i always told them, 5.11 is my place to go. its very comfortable, breathable material, it has two elastic cords to make it more compressed to your face. Awesome design

This will make any jacket without a hood that much warmer. My favorite jacket I got from my grandpa doesn't have a hood and this allows me to wear it on even the coldest days or when it's snowing. It fits loose enough that you can pull the mask part down comfortably and tighten it right to your face when you need it. It has a nice long neck to help seal in the heat from your jacket. I'd take this over any balaclava/face mask any day.
