Tested them out for work boots....i walk in them all day and they comfortable. They dry quick and are resilient to heat and flames.

Light, comfortable, but runs long and thin

These are wonderfully light combat boots, with just the right amount of reinforcement to handle some actual rucking/abuse/hiking. They have a sneaker-ish profile and fit, but they still provide plenty of ankle support. The upper has more padding than the typical combat boot, which is a plus. I also like the 360-degree stitching keeping the sole connected to the leather. There are way too many "combat boots" advertised as being 670-1-compliant that only use shoe glue to keep the sole on the boot. This shouldn't even be allowed by regs. Those boots all fall apart in months.nnAnyway, you'll probably want to size down 0.5 sizes and get a wide (not a regular) by default. My feet measure exactly 10.7" long and 3.8" wide, which, for 95% of all my shoes and boots, means I'm a Regular 10.5. But these wound up being too long and too narrow. Returned for a 10 Wide, perfect fit.

Great Boots! This is the type of product you buy and is worth every cent and more. I use them daily, paintball, and hikes. Been having them for the past 2 years, they are beat up, but still have a-lot tread. I would say it took about a week to break them in.

Great boot, it feels amazing, didn't have to do any breaking in, they were already ready to wear and go. The soft foam in the sole is great for rucks and walking alot. Only issue I have had is tearing at the top seam. I bought these online in Feb 2024 while deployed and had them mailed to my house, didn't wear them until September 2024, it is now FEB 2025 and the top seam has already torn away from the boot so I can't wear them anymore, because I'm in the service and they would be considered "unserviceable" now. I wouldn't recommend these boots if you're looking for something that will last at least a year of wear and tear.

Picked up a pair of these as soon as I heard that 5.11 had made AR 670-1 compliant boots. These have been a major improvement over any other that I've tried. nnPros:nVery comfortable with the right fitnGreat support with decent mobilitynWell constructed and sturdy feelnVery aggressive tread while not having an overly hard solennMiddle:nWell insulated feel, I'm sure they will do wonders in cold climate. However, they are not great for hot weather.nWould've appreciated some drains on these particular boots, but I understand that removes water resistancennCons:nHad to completely submerge in water to break innNot especially light, but not cumbersomenLaces are a bit short for a speed knot that wraps aroundnKnife pocket is borderline useless and unnecessary if the boot is properly cinched around the lower leg

Just picked these up yesterday currently deployed to the Middle East. nnFit: true to sizenI wear 10.5 in Nike running shoes and most boots. Size 11 for Oakley boots. 10.5 in Nike and boots. A size 10 in these my toes touch the end with 10.5 being just outside of reach.nnHotspots: yes I have some excessive rubbing on the fourth and fifth toe of the left boot. I do not have wide feet, never bought wide shoes but these are somewhat narrow not sure what is causing the rubbing on one foot but not the other. This will cause blistering for a ruck 100% and will need mole skin.nnLooks: like the looks a lot I can tell it will be a durable boot. Not sure about the pockets in the boot uniform doesnt allow us to use them so dont see the purpose for it. Just additional material adding weight and heat. nnUse: these are very stable. Almost like a lifting shoe I feel I could go to the gym and use them for squats. Weight wise not the heaviest but not the lightest.nnHonorable mentions: these will be hot. There is not holes or ventilation in the boots. Likely due to waterproofing is my guess. Touch choice for the desert.nnThey are not as comfortable as Nike zoom boot, no foam mid sole. But I would bet they would be more durable. However, if you are looking for an outdoor boot that is water proof it is something to consider.nnWill update review after break in period if there is one.

I like the material and how the boot is designed. nnUnlike Nike boots, I think they need some time to break in before they become comfortable.nBut I'll update the review after 1~2 months of wearing it.
