This is my second purchase. Im very satisfied with this boot because it has no break in period. I can stand on my feet for the whole shift of my job and after, I have energy for my personal life and responsibilities. I recommend this boot to several of my colleagues and it exceeded their expectations. This is my go to every few years for an exceptional price.

These boots are comfortable as all hell and can withstand. Have been wearing these outside for around 7-9 hours per day and have had no issues with them. I'd recommend these for buyers who want something less costly but effective.

This Boot fits good, feels good, seems durable so far and comfortable, not bad at all for the price. Only downside is that I wish there was less room above my toes, perhaps a half or one size smaller boot would have helped with this issue but my toes have a complete jungle gym worth of space to move in above them, this is usually something you find in steel toe boots, which these arent and it causes my foot to slide around a little bit.

I've been wearing these boots for a few months now. I wore the waterproof version for years and loved them so I bought this non-waterproof version thinking they would feel just the same. I don't know if I got a defective pair or if my right foot is that much bigger, but the right shoe leaves my toes in pain at the end of a long day at work because my right shoe is that much tighter than my left. I even checked to see if my right boot was a half size smaller - it's that bad. In any case, I really wanted to love these boots but I don't. I kept thinking they just "needed to break in" but they never did. And now I'm looking for new boots after just a few months of wearing these which is both frustrating and disappointing.

I work corrections and am on my feet all day. These boots have very little break in.. I have very flat feet so I had to replace the yen souls immediately. But that's all I had to do. Great boot and a great price that doesn't break the bank.

Pros:nGood traction. Stable footing. Minimal wear in period. Cushioned sole and polishable toe area.nCons:nRuns a little warm and does not have zipper closures for quick on and off. nTake always:nSeem to be well made and designed. I would recommend to others and would buy again.

They would be comfortable boots if I didn't have something sharp poking the top of my big toe in the right foot boot.nPretty annoying to lace up and put on also. Would be much better if there were hooks for the laces at the top of the boot instead of holes. I don't want to have to unlace the boot completely just to put them on and take them off.

My 1st fast tac 6 boots I purchased 3 years ago. Lasted me 1full year of use. Used it almost every day. Very comfortable on my feet. Light on the foot. I enjoyed it so much that I got a new pair. If you value your feet this boots are for you.

Ok being a Corrections officer a lot of walking is expected so comfortable supportive footwear is a must. I read the reviews on this Fast Tac and decided to roll the dice. Unfortunately these were not available locally per the website so I did what I hated, buying without being able to try on. I love the design of these boots but just wished a side zipper was an option. I wear size 13 but I needed a half size bigger in these boots. Im not big on breaking in boots but being leather these may loosen up a bit. They run a bit small.

These boots are very true to size unlike most other duty boots I have purchased and fit well. A very comfortable pair of footwear and they look great. A Streamline design for anyone looking for a professional looking boot. Not a side zip boot, but when paired with a set of elastic lock laces the boot becomes incredibly easy to take on and off.

there is a seam that runs inside across the foot where the bottom eyelets are. that's crazy. and for the first time i get them with shoe laces that aren't long enough. so i have to go and buy my own.

Size 8 in men is my go to size, these boots are extremely tight for a size 8 men, no room for thick socks. I was going to attempt to buy a 8 and a half and I am really not sure if a half size bigger would still be the perfect fit. This is why I am so skeptical for purchasing items without trying them on first.

Amazingly comfortable. I replaced wearing casual sneakers with these because they are much more durable and dont give out like all my Vans do. These boots weigh half of what my basic slip on vans were and are more than twice the comfort. Another small bonus with these is that, as a short guy (57) these boots add ~1.5 of height which everyone says is the best for me.

Feels and fits very good with great lacing to keep them tight on your feet. Material is nice and seems to be durable. Great grip on the soles. For the price its a good deal. Nice tough look too! I would recommend them. Sizing is right on

Fit perfectly! They are super comfortable when on foot patrol for hours and the ankle support is the best that Ive ever experience in a boot. The only point I have against it is it seems to be wearing pretty quickly in the creases.

Boot fits true to size. The toe part of the boot is actually real leather unlike most of todays boots. The only thing is if you step in a puddle of water above the bottom shoelace, your feet will get wet. The tongue in my old boots only went down 3 eyelets from the top so no water would get on. Other than that, theyre great

These boots fit very well. I would have liked to get the zipper versions of others, but they didn't feel good on my feet. For some reason these fit me perfect with no pressure points. I'll keep buying them until they don't make them anymore.

Im not sure if its just my feet based off the previous reviews, but these boots are just not comfortable. I bought these to replace my $80 Bates boots that I wore for 3 years. The only reason I wanted to replace those old boots is because theyre starting to stink lol.nnIve only been wearing these boots for about 2 weeks now, I work 8 hours shifts 6 days a week; mostly up and about on my feet. These boots are just not wearing in well unfortunately, they causing my feet to blister. Im almost tempted to throw my old stinky boots on again until I can find another comfortable pair. Might have to drop a little more money I suppose.

I have half a dozen 5.11 rucks and bags and they are awesome. Gave these boots a try and sold them after two months. If you have ever worn MOPPs gear, these boots feel like that, sweaty and slippery, they dont breath. I had superfeet insoles over the insoles provided, not a comfortable boot. I get they cost less than a pair of running shoes, but was expecting more from 5.11. Bags are good to go, footwear....

These boots are so comfortable, I stand and walk a lot at work and never felt any foot discomfort. Ive had mine about 6 months and are beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Best boots to get your moneys worth.

The 5.11 Fast Tac boots have been a great set of boots for the time I have been using them. Typically, I err towards boots that have the side-zip due to the ease of donning and doffing the boots. The pair that I use does not have the side-zip, however. I was pleasantly surprised to discover this caused little to no inconvenience. I am still able to quickly and with little difficulty don and doff the boots. In my experience with other boots, there is typically a one to two week break in period (even working long shifts on and off of my feet). With the Fast Tacs, I was unable to notice any substantial stiffness of break-in period required for the boots. The structure of the Fast Tacs still holds the proper shape of the boot despite it being flexible and ready to wear out of the box. The boots have a slight bit of a mesh type finish on the inside and outside which offers great breathability. I have never felt that my feet were overly hot while wearing the boots (I have yet to wear the boots in cold weather). I have been surprised at the actual finish on the boots. With the price point of this boot, I was expecting to have apply a polish to keep the finish of the boot looking decent and not scuffed. After about three months of wear, I have yet needed to apply any polish to maintain a neat, professional finish. Dirt easily wipes off the boots and scuffs are non-existent. It should be noted that about fifty percent of the time I do wear these boots, I am outside on blacktop, concrete, gravel, or some other rough terrain. Despite this, the finish has held up. The tread of the boots does not appear to be overly worn and has held up after three months of use. I have not noticed any substantial wear marks or loss of tread at this time. In previous boots I have owned, it has been common for areas of the sole to become detached and slightly peel away from the bottom of the boot. I have not observed any signs of this yet. As for the fit of the boot, I wear a 10.5 so that is the size I purchased. They fit perfectly. They are snug, but not to the point where I feel uncomfortable or constricted. They also offer enough wiggle room, but do not feel like they will slip off in the event I need to run. The insole of the boot has felt like any typical factory insole that comes with boots or shoes. I have not noticed any substantial lack of comfort or signs of fatigue after long stretches of being on my feet. OVERALL:If youre looking for a well-respected, name-brand boot but arent looking to break the wallet, the 5.11 Fast Tac is a great option to have. At the price point of $80.00, I dont believe youre going to find a more well-rounded boot. They fit great, appear durable, are comfortable and bear the well-known and trusted name of 5.11. I would highly recommend this boot to anyone looking to purchase a practical, reliable, and affordable boot.
