Comfortable fit, but they are a much lighter color than what is in the picture. If you're trying to stay in regs, find a different boot.

So far, I think theyre both very comfortable and stylish. I havent worn a zip boot before now, I like how easy it is to put on and to take off! Each time I put them on they seam more and more comfortable and I dont have to worry about the laces!

Currently in Airforce, I love the boots and zipper feature. When I used these, it would cut my prep time in morning and I wouldnt have to worry about lacing my boots. After a while though, I got too many comments about how they were not in regs and even if they were, it was pushing it. I wish there was a darker color, I would definitely buy them.

There great. RSO at local outdoor gun range and this is my third pair. Each last a little bit over a year or so before I got to get new ones , probably because of my 3d ankle. I need a little bit more support than most and the upper support breaks down little bit more than I need. Not saying that its gone, just not enough for my needs. Also need to add there worn daily year round. The non water proof is not a problem. I just spray armor all on them every couple weeks and it turns the fabric waterproof, so thats perfect to keep heat factor down. Not needing to buy hotter water proof ones. So all in all theyre great. Will keep buying them as long as quality keeps up.

These boots were very comfortable, great for hiking, easy on and off. Waterproof worked Great BUT I have had the boots 1year 2 months and some plastic piece around the back of the heel has broken and now the Plastic rubs against my heel and makes them uncomfortable. They also make a popping sound from the plastic popping against the piece that it broke from. Very disappointed that it only lasted one year. I only wear them to hike and or hunt which would be at most 2-3 times a month.

What could have been a five-star review sadly isn't due to the false claim of "Coyote" as the boot color. These boots are clearly the "Desert Tan/Sand" color of the previous ACU variety, even lighter somehow than the color in the pictures on this site. I have compared them with six different brands of boots also labeled coyote, this boot is simply not Coyote and the only reason to claim such is to entice a military service-member to purchase them as such. The "Dark Coyote" option would probably not raise eyebrows from uniform conscious leadership, however 5.11 does not appear to produce the dark coyote with the side-zipper for some reason (I cannot find it with a zipper on this site anyway). PLEASE do service members a favor and change the name of the color to Desert and offer a "Dark Coyote" with side-zipper option. nnThe boots themselves provide great feel/support, and the zipper is strong.

For Spring/Fall/Summer this is my daily even after work! They are SO COMFORTABLE. If its 50F or above I'm wearing these. I'm never buying a non-zipper boot again. It is so convenient to get in and out of them when I'm on the go, which is always. They last me almost a year and half per pair.

Make a Dark Coyote side-zip!! I bought the regular(super stiff/zero flexibility) A/T boots & it was a terrible choice. I am going on 3 years in the A.T.A.C boots which are legendary. I cannot wear this light sand colored boot, any scuff or thing that gets on them stands out like a sore thumb. A darker brown is more asthetic and far superior at concealment.

Let me start off I have loved my A.T.A.C. boots I have owned a pair the originals and 3 pairs of the A.T.A.C 2.0 8" Zip boots. I wear these daily for work and I have worn the sole off each one of them. Black Friday 2022 I decided to pick up a pair of these A/T 8" and my go to A.T.A.C 2.0's. I was drawn to the A.T.L.A.S system and the upper looked slim, lighter, and more breathable than the 2.0s. I have been breaking them in for the past few weeks and have dreaded every day. The inside of the boots have some stitching that is right behind your little toe that will rub and aggravate your foot (I wear thick wool Darn Tough socks BTW) I have removed the ATLAS insole thinking that might help, added after market insoles, with little to no help. Last night I compared to by old 2.0's and they do not have this stitching. My suggestion would be to try the 2.0's not these, these will aggravate the crap out of you.

For context, my opinion does not relate to a bad product. I believe these are an excellent choice for others who do not have issue with classic style boots. I do not wear them though, only due to the lack of having a side zip and I regret spending $180. They seem to be very high quality, durable, the tread pattern is strong and style is visually striking too. At the time, I needed new boots & 5.11 did NOT have the Side-Zip version out yet so I bought these out of necessity. I ended up powering through with my 3yr old 8" side-zip ATAC 2.0s that are still going strong (barely). It is my fault for buying boots without the feature I prefer.

Quality of boot was fine but I regularly wear a size 10 and these were very tight on my feet. Several hot spots on my left boot as well gave me blisters after only 2 days

I bought a pair of these boots to use for work and they have got to be the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I've worn them on vacations and to work and never did I get uncomfortable in them. The first pair I bought did have a defect but the customer support team did a fantastic job of making things right. I will be purchasing more pairs of these boots in the future.

Extremely comfortable. Little to no break in period. Went a size larger than my ATAC and hiking boots. I wore only Danners for years. I will never go back to Danner. I have had such good luck with all my 5.11s. So far these are probably my favorite boots.

First time owning 5.11 boots. Friend of mine wears them on the job, recommended them to me. Very good padding/inserts. Very lightweight, huge difference from my leather boots. I really like the versions with the side zipper, don't have to spend the 30 seconds to tie your boots up. The tread offers awesome traction with how aggressive it is. 10/10 will buy again.

I went on a hike wearing the boots straight out of the ox and they were great. I have a bad ankle and the boots worked wonderfully to support my bad ankle. Great cushion on the bottom and excellent grip. I did not slip on any rocks or other types of surfaces I crooked on the hike. Great boot.

No, they don't make me The Flash. They can be put on in a hurry thanks to the side zipper, much like motorcycle racing boots. And, they can be further adjusted with the laces if needed. They are one of the most comfortable boots I've ever worn and, the perfect color in the AZ desert.

Great shoe but didn't compliment my feet as well as I would have liked. The edges where a little tight on the pinky toe due to the way A/T sidezip is was made vs the nonsense sidezip. So I ended up exchanging them at the local 5.11 store here in GA. The guys at the store was very helpful in making the exchange. Other than that great overall shoe. I'm on my 3rd pair!

They started falling apart from the inside in less that 2 months. I called 511 and they wouldn't give me my money back because it was over the 30 days or something like that so they said they would give me a new pair but that was the end of the warranty, so if the new pair fell apart with in a couple of months that would be the end of the warranty.. do the new boots were back ordered so I waited 6 months without boots. I started calling every week do they finely gave me m my money back but all together it took almost 6 months to get my money back.

Comfortable, quick break in, like almost no break in. The toe cap is different than the regular A/T boots, but give it a nice look. The soles and mid plate are the same and both wear/feel about the same. I appreciate the zippers make it overall easier. The only thing I wish these boots had was a bit darker color to be compliant with Army/Air Force uniform colors, although it is named coyote, it is closer to the service's definition of sand, albeit darker than the sand colored boots of days gone. Overall, I love them and kept them for daily use out of uniform be it the range or hiking the Sandia Mountains

I bought these because I was looking for some light, waterproof side zips that aren't black. The good news is they fit most of that description very well. I was initially worried that there were some hot spots around my ankle bone, but after wearing them for a couple weeks now that never materialized. They required almost no break in to be comfortable and they are very light and cool. Even though they are kind of tall the side zip works perfectly, and even though I keep them laced fairly tight they are super easy to get on and off. They have very good traction, I haven't had any issues slipping on wet epoxy coated floors and they've worked just fine hiking. The one concern that I have is with the waterproofing. Water does seem to bead up on the material and I haven't had wet feet in the rain yet, but I'm pretty sure the zipper isn't waterproof and there is no flap to keep water from getting in if your foot is submerged. I haven't tried that yet, and if they dry as fast as they say they will it probably won't be a huge issue, but I was looking for a fully waterproof boot like my old Taclite Pros, and 511 customer service assured me these were fully waterproof, so I'll be a little disappointed if they aren't, especially for their price. Knock the price down 40 or 50 bucks and I'd give them 5 stars, but I was kind of hovering between the 3 and 4 star mark just based on the high price. I went with 4 just because they are very comfortable.

The color is listed as coyote, but it in reality it is tan. Not able to wear with OCPs and be within regulations for Army/Air Force wear. Otherwise very comfortable and probably a great boot.

Im a size 14 and fit great. They are a tight fit as far as width but that is their design. If you have a wide foot, dont go for it. If your average width and want a snug boot for the field this is it. This is a where all day type of boot. My feet perspire and these breath fairly well. After a month of daily use, so far the best field boots I've owned.

In my opinion they won't last a year. They are only double stitched instead of triple stitch. In my experience double stitch won't last me long. I also had to take out the plastic insert as I couldn't wear them for more than 3 hours. After taking out the plastic insert and placing the other insert back in they are doing good so far. I wear boots 360 days a year for construction and hunting. I prefer a side zip. As for the 170$ price tag I won't be buying them again. We'll see how long they last
