There's no 5.11 + logo on the back as shown on the pictures. I'm doubting it whether it's genuine product or fake one. Really disappointed.

Haven't had time to wear it much. But what I have seen of it I would put it into the 5 star rating. What I like about it is the extra side pockets just like the shirts I have. And I have been wearing 5.11 shirts and pants for quite a few years now. And every thing that I have gotten from 5.11 I would rate as 5 stars period.

Sizing is off, runs small

Item runs small in size. I consistanly wear XL in everything from T-shirts, sweatshirts, and jackets. Including prior 5.11 items. It is small in the arms/sleeves and shoulders. It feels like a medium.

Great under layer for a jacket shell

Have a number of other fleece base layers I was using to layer up my jackets when the Michigan weather would bottom out, but almost all of them lack pockets or the sleeves bind up in the shell jacket. The 5. 11 tactical fleece in bright red covers all my issues. Plenty of pockets, a handy hook loops, and sleeves and shoulders that slide in and out of my shells without binding up.

The trim of the jacket has already came undone in multiple places.

I normally wear a l/xl so I ordered an xl and it feels like a women's medium around my chest/arms. At first I thought they sent me the wrong size. I can't move my arms at all in this jacket. 511 used to be the gold standard but I won't be ordering from them anymore.

I ordered a large. . .nThe sleeves and upper back are for a small. It is like wearing spandex fleece. I think he seamstress grabbed the wrong pile of pieces

Tight in a parka

Fits too tightly across the shoulder and arms when used with the responder parka. Would benefit from zip off sleeves like the 5 in 1 jacket.

Very snug in the back making it difficult to move arms forward. First 511 product Ive had an issue with. Fitment in general is poor and I cant see myself using this for long unfortunately

This is a heavy weight fleece jacket. I use this when it gets pretty cold outside. It does run bigger than expected. I wish I would have picked up a size smaller.

I have the same experience with the other buyer in the comment section. I have the size large of the original version for a long time and I bought the 2.0 version large assuming that it has the same comfort. I am not happy with it. Its too snug, its tight on the arms, shoulders and back. It also feels a bit heavier than the original. I also had patch sewn on the arms so I cannot return the item. Quality is good though. I have tons of 5.11 items and I am happy with those except for this 2.0 version.

Have the original version in size XL and absolutely loved it, just ordered a 2xl 2.0 version to have more room to wear a vest and sweatshirt underneath if needed and I am very disappointed. Its Way too tight in the arms, shoulders and upper back/chest area. The XL original version is actually way looser and way more comfortable than the 2xl somehow.nnAnd of course I discovered this after spending $60 to have all my patches put on :face_palm::skin-tone-2::male_sign:. Not even able to wear it.

Excellent fleece jacket. I went for training with Los Angeles County Fire Dispatch for whats called a sit along and i noticed all the dispatchers had this jacket, of course it looked a bit different with the countys patches, i bought one and it looks really good.

I currently still use the original parka and the zippers for the fleece have been melted on an incident, Is the 2.0 fleece compatible with the original response parka? Because I do like the new design and would just like to switch out the fleece inner, the parka still has a lot of life left in it.

5.11 needs to do an AD blitz for their tactical fleece

Better quality than the ad blitz "Baerskin tactical hoodie". 5.11 should definitely put some money into a winter jacket next year. Didn't like the velcro (narrow) chest pocket closures. Should have a right sleeve zip pocket. I got the Blue, but the earth tones (Khaki, Black, Green & Gray) should be best sellers.

I bought this to replace my original tac fleece as Ive lost weight. The new version isnt fully lined and the lining in the sleeves is cheap. The original was my go to fall and winter go to jkt. I guess the search will continue

I had an original responder parka and the fleece lining jacket was the best. I ordered this so I could leave the lining in the other coat. The fit is terrible and is tight in the arms. I would not recommend this product as it is nothing like the one it replaced. I wish I had tried it in before removing the tags so I could have returned it.

Jacket is what I thought it was.nA little different than the original jacket. nShoulder areas felt a little bit snug, as long as I am not doing a lot of movement, and more casual wear, it's good. nOverall fit and finish is great.

This is by far the best fleece jacket I have ever owned. I bought a 4XL and am usually a bit apprehensive about ordering tactical clothes. I am 6'-2" and weight 360 lb. with a considerable belly. The jacket feels tight in the shoulders while pulling it on, but once it is on and zipped up, it feels very comfortable with unrestricted movement. I attribute this to the heavy construction and the non-stretchy upper chest and back.nnIt is fairly simple in design. A pair of roomy horizontally-accessed chest pockets, one on each breast, with self-closing hook & loop enclosures proved storage for a phone, notepad, or other flat objects. An internal security pocket on the inside left chest fits a phone or wallet.nnHandwarmer pockets lower in the jacket are roomy and toasty with zippers that function easily. The side release and zippers work quite well for accessing a side arm. The jacket is long enough to effectively conceal a IWB holster.nnThe jacket features nylon reinforcements in wear areas like the upper chest and back and inside if sleeves. I like these because so many fleece jackets get thin and wear out in the elbows.nnThe jacket is warm and blocks wind quite well. I have been quite comfortable making the trek across the parking lot to my truck with 20 deg F temps and 10 MPH winds. I wouldn't want to stand out there all day, but it is effectively warm for hauling the garbage out.nnI highly recommend this jacket.

The material works fine, The design is not important to me, But the fit is confusing. I have a Xl Columbia fleece jacket that fits me just fine. So I bought this fleece in a 2Xl to make sure I have some extra room at work. Well its tight around the shoulders and chest and honestly it fits more like a smaller size instead of a 2XL. So realistically I might not wear it much cause its uncomfortable. So basically a waste of money.

I love my tactical fleece, Im an EMT and this is a perfect sweater to have on the job. Its not too heavy to where I over hear, and it doesnt restrict my movement on scene. I love the quick access to my belt to grab my shears and the overall simple yet amazing design of the fleece. Wouldve been cool to have some reflective material on it but I love it a lot none the less, perfect for weather in the low 30s.

I had an old 5.11 fleece that i had for many years. It was a great jacket and after five years of use I figured i would get a new one. I was excited to see a 2.0 version as i considered it would be an even better jacket from the last. This thing is terrible! The fit is way too slimmed down now. It feels like the skinny jeans of tactical fleeces. The material is also thinner than the last ones which is also disappointing. I like the new pocket layout but besides that this jacket is a HUGE downgrade from the old one and ill be promptly returning it.

I don't live in a super cold climate, but we get our snowdays. Whenever the weather is chilly outside, this is the only jacket that will keep my sufficiently warm. For the price, you can't do better. My whole department switched over to these and we couldn't be happier

downgrade of original tactical fleece: bad fit, thinner material

I love the original tactical fleece and have several for work. This is a downgrade in every way. Much thinner material and less nylon lining inside. Also the fit is way off. I am 5'11 & 165 lbs, average build. I generally wear medium, sometimes large and while 5.11 generally runs a bit big, the original tactical fleece fits perfect in medium. The new tactical fleece 2.0 in medium regular is extremely loose and baggy in the torso and very tight in the shoulders. Seems like 5.11 is trying to save money with this more than improve on the original design.
