Definitely doesn't fit 2 cuffs well. Also, because there is no barrier between both sets (if you manage to jam them in) , removing one tends to pull the second out. I like a lot of 5.11 products, but this is an overall bad design. It needs more room and a barrier between cuffs.
Pouch has been put on my Maverick battle belt for a little over a month now. While the pouch leaves a little rigidness to be desired it works as intended.
I waited long for this, and was utterly disappointed. 5.11 products have horrible design, at premium prices, but this ranks even worse. This supposedly double Handcuff Pouch certainly does not fit two pairs of hinged handcuffs. And if you manage to squeeze them both in using two of your friends and a lot of muscle, good luck getting them out and back in easily from your duty belt while on shift. This is just flawed and badly designed and doesn't even do what it's advertised to do, and I have the photos. Not surprising for 5.11, my experience with their products has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
Flex Handcuff PouchnI liked it, the bag area is sturdy, but it didn't last me even a week because one of the clasps that holds it broke without getting stuck or using much force, just when opening it to position it. nnI am attaching photos.
I love these. They are a perfect fit for my M1A 10 round magazines. Sorry I don't use them as intended, but they are perfect for this additional use. Excellent high quality materials and construction throughout.
Good quality. I'm using them as single cuff pouches. They have some wiggleroom, but not too oversized with one cuff in them. I haven't tried them as a double.
I picked up this case at a 511 Store. I guesstimated that the dimensions were sufficient for a small case to carry an additional 10 rounds of 12 gauge shotgun ammunition! Guesstimation was correct! 8 rounds fit in a staggered arrangement and the elastic side straps each hold one additional round for a total of 10 rounds! nPerfect addition to my setup!
Been using this for about a year now. Same fits tight to my vest and both cuffs are snug in the pouch. I can see a little bounce if I have to chase someone but the way it fits to the vest same would stay secured during this process. I would buy again.
Fits close and tight to my tac vest like I want while I'm on duty. It has no problem holding two hand cuffs tightly where they don't move around and make noise.
No separation between both cuffs like the old version. Makes it difficult to remove one set of cuffs without removing the other and also putting the cuff back in makes it difficult.
I purchased this cuff case for my ASP Ultra handcuffs as they do not fit in my standard Safariland belt case. nnSo far I really like this case. It is universal and will work with all of my cuffs. (ASP or Smiths). The construction is solid and I have not had any problems with it or the material. The Velcro flap is easy to use and I have not had any issues with the Molle snaps. nnIt is a good size and does not stick out too far or take up too much room on my vest as some others have.
I have 3 of these. One on my training rig, and 2 for duty. I absolutely love these cuff cases. Durable construction, great quality, and material. They are designed for 2 sets of handcuffs; I use them for single sets. They fit perfectly on my molle gear.
Once again, 5.11 couldn't help but taking a perfect product and screwing it up. 5.11 has this thing where they aren't happy unless they perfect a product and then either discontinue it or just plain screw it up. Obviously whoever did this redesign has never had to use them in the field. I use the handcuff cases in several places, to include on the outside of my wingman at the passenger door for when I need more cuffs quickly, in the side trip briefcase, etc. They took the single tab in the center and made tabs on the outside, so now when you have two pouches next to each other, the tabs overlap and you end up halfway opening two in a hurry rather than quickly opening one. Next, the REMOVED the center divider between the handcuffs. So now, if you go to pull a pair of handcuffs quickly, you end up pulling both sets out because either they catch on each other or your finger catches a bar of the second set. 5.11 either needs to quit screwing with the products or put someone in charge that has actually done something in the field before. This is one of the most ridiculous things yet. More to come I'm sure as everything has been redesigned as flex which is fine, but why are you screwing with the tabs to open the products? I am returning these products as I have purchased several more of the old style still new in the packaging on eBay.
The quality is very good. Seems to be well constructed and I expect it will hold up well with time. The ranger green color is much needed. The old greens were awful and unusable by anyone who wanted matching gear.
The pouch is constructed very well. However, there is a design flaw with the pouch. The pouch molle snaps at the 4th row and there is no vest molle at the 4th row. This leaves the pouch less secure to the vest and floppy. The idea behind the Flex-HT pouch molle is for it to snap under a row of vest molle. The previous handcuff pouch with slick stick molle ended on the 5th row of vest molle and properly snapped underneath the vest molle. I was hoping this pouch would replace the previous handcuff pouch, but it was a huge letdown. The pistol magazine pouches have the same issue.
I love the product. Is a little slimmer than my department issued molle handcuff pouch. Looks better, great Velcro retention. The pouch can hold two cuffs, however I would not recommend it as their is no divider to help you grab one without finagling your fingers around. I run a 1 on vest and one taco pouch on my belt.
