Excellent for attaching pouches, easily secures your pants, and amazing for wear while in uniform, especially for helicopter use

Tom,
Put the buckle on the correct side and I'd buy one.

Raymond,
From start to finish this is the worst belt ever conceived. nDifficult to thread into your pants. So stiff and unfinished that it can cut you.nI wore it for several months it is as uncomfortable as the day i put it on.nEven to remove it , it must be done loop by loop.nVery hard to adjust.nSwitch from IWB to OWB.nMust be adjusted , give yourself 10 minutes.

I'm a big guy and wear 44-46 pants. I got the 3XL and it was too loose, couldn't adjust it any smaller. Luckily I am close to a 5. 11 retail store and was able to exchange it for a 2XL which was perfect.

Solid attention to detail. The buckle works well and is also smaller on the end such that you dont have to remove the buckle to put it through belt loops. Seriously questioning this webbing loop on the front though and if it can stand up to the weight of a human body on a carabiner in an emergency rappel situation. Its only a few inches long and the ends that are stitched in. Other belts I have seen with nylon as opposed to steel attach points have had a continuous second layer to the belt that is looped out at one part and folded in from the edges for about an inch and a half attach point, but the loop is heavily stitched into the main layer of the belt for majority of the circumference of the rest of the belt. That belt was rated 5000 lbs for the loop and was truly a riggers belt with a raptor buckle. Please advise.

William 7.,
Very sturdy once adjusted buckling is hassle free.
RaspundeCharles M.,
9/10 of what I recall envisioned for the role but absolutely the closest I could find.
RaspundeTyler B.,
Durable, easy fit adjustment, strong Velcro and the pre molded curve aids in fitment. Very comfortable with my CCW holsters and/or external holsters. The buckle is simple and durable and way to release one handed. Very happy with this belt.
RaspundePaul K.,
Quick, easy and sturdy as hell for carrying my pistol. Very comfortable.
RaspundeDavid N.,
pricey, excellent quality. i particularly like that dont have to adjust the velcro to take it off. gone through 3-4 of the roller style belts in 4 years which chew up the nylon webbing with hard use. this belt buckle seems to have solved that problem. also way more convenient on night shifts for sleeping in between calls
RaspundeLonnie,
The best belt for light tactical situations. Very sturdy, solid construction, and comfortable. Everyday carry may be awkward because the extra loop at the left side of the belt. It can be difficult to get through belt loops. It does go opposite regular dress belts so it takes getting used to.
RaspundeTheresa D.,
It was a Xmas gift for my son. He said that he would have been happy just receiving this belt and nothing else for Christmas. It was clearly his favorite gift!
RaspundeRoberto S.,
I got the wrong size however I gave it to my cousin and so far he love how the belt felt the material of the belt was good quality and will last a long time I love my order and would buy agian
RaspundeJeremiah T.,
These belts are strong, they work good at supporting my holster
RaspundeAlex W.,
I have always ran a HSGI riggers belt but it is not load rated and that is the reason I switched to the 511. It's actually a 4.5 out of 5 but that is a personal issue due to the rigging loop being difficult to pass thru belt loops and the buckle connects backwards from what I've always been accustomed to. It is super stiff and all in all a great belt!

Wanted a sturdy belt with a 1.75 width. Great looks, good build quality as most all 511 products are
RaspundeJOHN P.,
Absolutely love the belt, except for the loop on the front gets stuck on every belt loop when putting on and off. Still would buy it again.
RaspundeKen S.,
I have worn this belt every Workday for 5-6 years now without any signs of wear. I have lost 30 Lbs since purchase and belt easily adjusts to fit perfectly. The ease of the buckle and sturdiness of the belt itself makes this is the best tactical belt made.
RaspundeMan,
I wear jeans most of the time....Way to hard to get in and out. Also ruins the jeans getting them in and out..Needs to be 1.5 in and Id buy 4 of them... Solid built if you only wear 5.11 pants... Which Im sure is their goal.
RaspundeDavid M.,
Solid belt build to last. Once size is set on the velcro there is not movement. Only gripe is it's a bit of a pain to get in and out of belt loops on jeans.
RaspundeThe P.,
I have this as my on the ranch gun belt with a True North Concepts MHA and safariland QLS system attached so I can easily switch out to the appropriate holster for whatever gun suits my fancy at the time. The belt is nice and stiff but comfortable due to the curve built into it. I have my stuff set up like an old west holster. Grab it, strap it on, and your ready to go. No need to fool with belt loops or any other gear. I could jump up and put this rig on naked in a moments notice if needed. The price initially turned me off but it does exactly what I want and I really like it so I got over the guilt of spending that much on a belt pretty quick. Would recommend to a friend.
RaspundeKory S.,
Works well with my duty belt and snap retainers. Love that it's adjustable, however price was a bit on the high side.
RaspundeJeff,
Why design a belt to slide through the belt loops then put some sort of really stiff loop on it which makes it harder to slide it through the belt loops?
RaspundeGrey C.,
Probably one of the best duty belts I've used. Great for both CC and Duty Carry. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM ABOUT ORDERING A SIZE LARGER, order actual size. I had to get a second after sending back my first order.
RaspundeDavid B.,
Great belt! I read the reviews before I purchased this belt, and they were all spot on. You will have to get use to how this belt sits on your hips. It's a very comfortable belt, that is durable, and looks great. nnI wear this belt with the 5.11 Stryke pants (both long and short), and they feed and fit well through the belt loops. I would definitely recommend purchasing this belt.
RaspundeJohn K.,
Good Quality material that has stood up to about a month so far and seems like it will last for a while. Buckle seems it will have a good life as well as it has not loosened much in its mechanical function. The loop in the front is nice to attach keys so they can be tucked and held at the top of your pocket. The only drawback is the loop makes it difficult to put through belt loops at times. Would buy again.
RaspundeCarson B.,
Very well-made built. Do you wish I had the option of going to the left through my belt loops instead of only the right. The nylon the ring is a bit stiff. Makes it difficult weaving the belt through the belt loops and taking it off. Had to actually flatten the Dearing in order to get better use. Do you like the cobra vocal very much. Overall a good belt
RaspundeGusmel F.,
The belt is to stiff and I got it for a size 28 but there is no slack is like you cant even go up to 29 because you wont be able to wear it I didnt like it at all
RaspundeBrian P.,
Sent belt back got the wrong size and its going on 3 weeks and haven't got replacement yet
RaspundeDouglas P.,
Works great with my ats slimline battle belt or as a edc stand alone gun belt.
RaspundeJason S.,
This belt is the best I've had for carrying my sidearm. The look and feel are great!
RaspundeRon H.,
Belt is well made , strong and durable. I do not recommend ordering one size larger as this belt ran true to size.
RaspundeNeque T.,
the size is okay, the look is good and the quality of the product is great.
RaspundeJason J.,
First tactical with cobra latch, and I love it. Took the hips a moment to get used to the pressure point change from my old belt but I use to do carry while doing heavy demo and it holds up all day.
RaspundeZhixuan S.,
The locker is what I want, but the belt is still a bit too tough on the side.
RaspundeWillie M.,
Great belt to use if you plan to carry concealed as it is sturdy and keeps it shape. I've had it for about 3 weeks now and still getting used to it but nothing bad at all. It allows me to carry while making sure my handgun is secure at all times with me.
RaspundeStephen R.,
It' an ok belt. The brim of the belt is very abbrasive, and for those of us that are a little husky, it tends to rub on your skin throughout the day. Uncomfortable. A bit overpriced, not worth the extra $$
RaspundeTerrance P.,
This is my second assaulter belt have one in sandstone. Can say enough about how well and great these belts hold up and work for everything I need. A must have imo
RaspundeJeffrey U.,
Lack of uniformity in sizing. This should have been perfect. It was too large. Also, issues with belt loop.nnStill waiting for my refund, its been returned over a week ago.
RaspundeGreggory R.,
Quality is top notch, however QC not so much. Ill stick with it.
RaspundeKelly A.,
Very sturdy and robust construction. nnI wish there was a 1.5 model just like it.
RaspundeDavid B.,
Best belt! I have already worn one almost out and I just received another one.
RaspundeNicholas K.,
Normally I would have given these guys a 5 star rating but the major flaw is that the belt is a little wide for almost every pair of pants they sell and although it does eventually fit I usually have to find the Astro glide under my bed to get it to go through some of the loops.
RaspundeWendell,
Ok Im on this site debating on ordering another belt from 5.11. Personally I think most of the gear is great. Sometimes pricey but still good. Lets be real here guys... a belt like this is made for one thing and that is it. Its meant to be beaten and put through the paces in a more military environment. Yes the loop is bull crap and is only there to clip gloves to because thats all its rated for. However the over all durability and usefulness of the belt is solid. I was in the marine before and after 9/11 so anyone thats old enough knows we didnt start with all this good gear. We had absolute shit, yet we made it work. Then we started getting high speed gear and of course we were thankful for what little bit we got that we didnt have to pay for or have family send us. Ive had this initial belt for about 4 years maybe? Bought it from a Cabalas and paid $120 for it. I looked it over and wanted a gun belt that be stand alone or work with a battle belt set up. Yeah the loop is stupid but the belt is absolutely solid. I mean, Im here on the site getting ready to blow more money on and additional one. I do t even need the damn thing. Hell, I need new gloves more than this but Im happy with the product and stand by it. Plus, its one of the cheaper, solid belts. Go ahead, by another brand and pay way more for it. I can deal with the loop...not like Im a boot and wear it for every day anyway. I use it to run guns. Exactly what its made for...not a fashion statement

Chris,
I bought this belt 2 years ago and absolutely love it. Looks great with my uniform.
RaspundeLonewolf2873,
I got my belt on clearance at store front. Think it was $58.xx usd out the door. Would have been a great purchase, had I known its 1.75", which doesn't fit standard jeans or shorts. I recognize its buyer beware, especially on a clearance item, but nowhere does it say 1.75". I can't return since it was clearance either. I may frame the buckle, since its the only piece worth anything out of 58 bucks.
RaspundePhil,
The belt is nice, the cobra buckle is awesome. The hard loop on the male end of the buckle needs to be eliminated. The hard loop is difficult to get through belt loops. Please redesign it for easier on and off comfort.
RaspundeRick,
This belt holds up well. It is stiff enough for an IBW holster. The reason I only gave it 3 stars is that the rappelling loop, which is only for looks, makes the belt a pain in the butt to put onto pants. I wear 5:11 trousers also and feeding the buckle through is more difficult than a standard leather belt, but that worthless loop just makes it a pain. My advice to 5:11 is to remove the loop. It's just for CDI (chicks dig it) anyway. Without the loop it's a solid 5 stars.
RaspundeJuan,
I love the design, it's great. The cobra buckle is what I love about it. What I don't like is that the loop or/and buckle are not rated for repelling. For me the 2XL belt was a little too big for me. Unfortunately that was the only size available to me at the time. I did still buy it. What I did is I forced the doubled up webbing through the buckle to fit it to my size. Overall if I had the next size down it would be perfect... apart for the unrated loop.
RaspundeMatthew,
Guys and Gals- We buy everything for a reason right? Let me just hash out some of these comments bellow- You have to take off all your accessories when in an air port ? get over it. Its a pain to get it through the belt loops ? Do you think your belt is just going to slip right on through? OK NOW - For why I went with it. - I wear a belt every day, work outside/inside I travel all over New England. I conceale carry (inside belt). After trying out all the leather belts from fairs and Bull leather with steal inserts bla bla bla they ALL were failing me. The fact that I have been wearing this belt and I haven't had any issues is a PLUS. Lets just say it serves me right by 1/75 W, Super heavy duty. Again I'm not in law enforcement this is a average guy. I put it on everyday and CC ever day. It is very comfortable for me. You get what you pay for! I think all the reviews that have dumb dings on this product. Hope this serves you well! Cheers!
RaspundeVito,
It's was one of best belt I had but it started to crack near the release part of the built buckle. After over $100 it sucks.
RaspundeArlene,
The 3xl was too big for my husband so I returned both belts the maverick and alta belt and ordered to get same in 2XL. Funny that the maverick assaulters belt has a curve. My German made husband who's an engineer said this belt has a defect. I kept saying it's supposed to be that way. He said no he knows his belts and that they are supposed to be straight. To send it back. Well, well, well I looked online to show him it's an Ergonomic design and it showed the curved belt on pic. He then apologized red faced and said ok then he will keep it. He then said he loves it and thanked me. I had to tell this story!!
RaspundeCliff,
The integrated web loop is the only & primary flaw of this belt. It makes threading through belt loops difficult. For me, the web loop was not at all important, and as other reviewers noted, it was sewed on the wrong side of the belt (shouldn't the Velcro wrapped part be inboard? If it is then this loop also faces inboard). I simply snipped the web loop out and trimmed the nylon back close to stitching then singed with a lighter. Snipping that loop out of the equation makes this a great belt and fits my personal need - and now its worth the investment.
RaspundeLumpy,
I've tried 4 other similar Digger's belts and ever one of them will eventually cut into my hip and/or get that little droop in the back. Not this belt! The curved design, wide webbing and amazing buckle let me sit in a car or chair all day long (with or without full year) and forget I'm wearing a sturdy "tactical" belt. Love it!
RaspundeShamus L.,
Looks like a good belt and the quality of materials is great but the fit and function is not there.. I bought it and tried it and I should have listened to the reviews. Not there yet.
RaspundeJay,
Great quality and very convenient with the quick release clip, but in order to put in on you have to struggle squeezing the web loop through each belt loop one at a time. Once it's on, though, it's very sturdy and easy to unclip for bathroom breaks. A bit too expensive for the inconvenience of putting the belt on and taking it off, though.
RaspundeGreg,
This belt makes no sense. As a swat sniper and police officer for 28 years, I've seen my share of tactical belts. This one is nicely built but the loop isn't rated for emergency rapel so what's the point? The belt makes it nearly impossible to thread an OWB holster onto it and you have to put the belt on backward to thread it through your belt loops. Great belt in theory and workmanship. However it needs re-thought especially considering it cost $90.
RaspundeScott,
What I really like about this belt is the fact that the velcroed standing end is on the left, weak(for me), female side. This enables me to simply unthread the strong, male, side from a couple of pant loops in order to rig something on the right side. The problem is that the loop is also on the right side and will no way thread through an OWB holster. This means that I have to wear the belt backwards and remove the female buckle to thread through a holster. Of course, then you have to readjust the belt size and hassle weaving the hooks under the pant loops and over the loop material. If only the loop were the metal variety on the female side. That would be ideal.

Gabriel,
It was me go to belt for a specific pair of pants. The web loop makes it hard to take off each pair of pants, the metal buckle sets off every metal detector. I would love to see them make this buckle in an airport friendly material. If you have any kind of gut the buckle will jab into you and kinda hurt a little (which should motivate you to lose the gut).
RaspundeCrazy M.,
Simply put Great idea, Not Great product. The size runs Small Especially if you run a concealed pistol order one size larger. The Belt is not rated for use as a emergency / hasty harness , so Operator beware.Does not work with 5.11 or Vertex Pants Due to design you must put it on backwards So if you buy this belt don't expect to use it on multiple pants. Not recommended
RaspundeMaelan,
I got this belt yesterday, so far I'm very impressed. The build quality is outstanding. The belt is very stiff and rigid. Perfect for carrying a firearm or using with a battle belt. The cobra buckle is smooth and makes a lovable click sound. It makes me feel like batman clipping on his utility belt haha. I really love this belt . Some people may be concerned because the width of the belt is 1.75 inches and most of the 511 pants have a 1.5 inch belt loop. All I have to say is don't worry about it. I use this belt with my 511 strike pants and it works perfectly.
RaspundeLiz,
I use this belt daily. It is stiff, sturdy, and fast to fasten. Because I am a "lefty" my IWB kydex holster snaps on just between the caribiner loop and the 5.11 logo tab. Had I been righthanded, I doubt my holster belt clip at 1.75" would've snapped on d/t the doubled over Velcro to the right. Now I know these belts are tactical and are not intended for IWB (but rather OWB) but why not market to all carry groups? I'm happy with my purchase and believe the price is right for the quality of the belt but the cobra buckle sold me. The large size fits me with a 38 inch just below the waist but not on the hip measurement.
RaspundeTex,
I think its a great belt, a little expensive. But not having the loop rated and having to thread it through the belt loops makes me want to cut it off. If its not rated, no one will use it so why the Guchi crap...if its not usable. Just my .02
RaspundeTechnical E.,
I'd been using a Kuhl belt for about a year before it started loosening on me. I decided to get a quality belt that'd last so I came to 5.11. This belt is very comfortable, I bought a size bigger after reading the reviews and it's larger than I thought it would be. I can easily keep my in-the-waist EDC PX4 and dual kydex mag holster with no problems. The velcro can attach loosely to the belt itself when your not carrying. Great for MOLLE bags and other attachments when hiking as well. Very well made and the latch is superbly strong. The web hook is the only downside, as it isn't rated, it'd be great if they moved it off to the 2 o'clock position for keys. Other than that I'm very happy with it!
RaspundeBaada,
I previously wrote a somewhat negative review of this belt which was posted for a little while. I received follow up emails from 5.11 customer service asking more questions of my negative opinion to which I provided. A short time later...my review mysteriously disappeared. Here is the deal. This is an okay belt for very specific uses. If you want to carry a drop holster that has a big loop to weave the belt through and your pants have very large belt loops.this is a great belt. I had a hard time getting the buckle through 5.11s own pants so plan accordingly. The single biggest drawback to this belt is that you have to put it on backwards compared to almost every other belt ever made. Notice how the large part of the buckle falls on your right side? This means you have to start it on the right hip and work your way around to your left hip. If you are right handed this means you have to go through your holster first and then all the way around, which is cumbersome. Think you will just wear the buckle the other way, not so fast, the belt is pre-curved to only fit your hips a certain way so that won't work. Like so many 5.11 products as of late, great idea and poor execution. If they actually tested it with actual law enforcement/military people this would have been sorted out immediately. And the rigging loop? why bother if you aren't going to rate it. No professional would ever trust it without a rating so you might as well remove it and make the belt a hundred times easier to put on and get though a holster loop. Back to the drawing board please.
RaspundeRobert,
I have a 34 inch waist. I ordered a medium.. It was too small. I suspect that these belts are undersized. Now of course most sizes are out of stock. It's a frustration, since I sent back the medium weeks ago.
RaspundeRaptor,
I use this product with my uniform and it's convenient when you need to get dressed very quickly!
RaspundeFacundo,
These is the best quality Tactical?Instructor's Belt ever made. The Cobra buckle and contour fit are one of a kind.A shame there's no safety information and/or certification for use as a retention belt during hellicopter operations and/or emergency rappelling or instructors bel during High-Angle rope operations. No NFPA, CE, UIAA certifications available. If it has that, would be the BEST BELT EVER MADE!

Pcsot,
The buckle is easy to use, The belt needs to be about 1/4 inch narrow for some of my equipment to hook on.
RaspundeDoug,
This belt is one of the easiest to buckle and unbuckle I've ever used. It supports almost anything and yet remains comfortable. When used with jeans or casual dress it isn't overtly noticeable as a 'riggers belt'. Quite simply it really is great!
RaspundeHot S.,
I use this belt with my taclite pro pants and shorts. Its great for quickly donning your gear. I'm very pleased.
RaspundeAlan,
Great belt with a loop/attachment point to hold carbiner or other heavy load items. I would not want to try and hang from it because the buckel might open, but think I could if I had to.Unfortunately it only fits through the loops of a few pants and not even someone of the pants sold by 511 so it is an expensive belt for a limited wardrope selection. Even still, I like it and would recomend it.

I bought this belt at gravois bluff store and they had a lot of nice stuff there neat place! The belt is not set up right when you wear it everyday or try to and then you want to add attachments or concealed carry there's no getting it done fast. I think it could have potential but I wish I wouldn't have spent the money on it now!
