This pouch is more than I expected it to be.nnI have a Motorola apx4000 radio and it fits perfectlynnThe pouch has a tight fit on my angle armor MOLLE vest
None of those new nasty plastic snaps on this baby! Works perfectly. So glad I got it while it was still available in other colors. Hope this is never discontinued or poorly improved
Check your radio size carefully, might be a bit deep for some smaller radios, I added a bit of padding in the bottom of mine. Otherwise nice quality/design
As a general purpose pouch its works. Specific pouches to the job but need a fair amount of adaption to work with the headrest hexgrid. Its still a work in progress for a clean install.
Very good for multiple purposes. I carry a Garmin GPS/SOS, or a solar rechargeable hand held battery pack, and/or 1 or 2 cell phones. It has the capability to synch things in and secure them so they don't fall out.
Works well, good quality and fits the BK KNGs with the larger battery. The pull cord kind of gets in the way a little bit. MOLE straps work good on waist band of newer style Mystery Ranch packs.
The pouch is constructed really well. I did have to modify mine to make things easier to use. First I untied the stretch cord and took it out of the front loop. Now it's easy to strap and secure radios in. Second I had to cut a hole in the side of the pouch to allow me to attach my shoulder mic. Other than that its built pretty solid and have no complaints so far.
Most of the so-called phone belt holsters simply don't work very well.Although I don't quite understand the elastic cord rig. I cut the cloth loop holding the cords at the top of the holster. And I'll add a pull tab on the Velcro piece. I have no idea what the extra loops are for.Still... well made. Might help to have instructions?
This is the most versatile pouch for carrying a radio on the market. I have used these for years on my plate carriers, on a duty belt and on a regular belt. I almost always have a morale patch of some kind on the Velcro patch and my co workers love it. If you don't have one of these pouches...get one.
Great Product and also can be use for iPhone(s) X or XR etc: case.
Ken,
Great product, well made. Can only be use for products with web connections ( bags and/or duty vests). Not compatible for duty belts. Excellent for carrying and holding smartphones the size of iPhone X,XR, and XMax. Holds your smartphone in, without a lost or drop.
The products of 5.11 are the best ever, but could manufacture in dark navy too. Cause I have a TacTec plate carrier (in dark navy color) and don't found none product else in that color. So, that's my tip 5.11, PLEASE...remember of the another colors too ok?
A great radio pouch...I use with both old HT Motorolas and our newer Hytera radios. Fits the Sierra Bravo belt system great, and it's nice to slap a patch on the loop field. Getting another for the gear bag.
Attached this pouch to my exterior carrier and I'm glad I did. Having my radio off my belt help with the back, especially in and out of vehicles. Fits a Harris P5100 perfectly.
I have 4 of these pouches and have them mounted on my 2 banger, moab 6, Rush delivery Mike and Rush 12. The pouches are 5 years old and are in perfect condition. They are not closet queens. They are used daily.
Works well, is tough and cheap. Would be perfect with a few modifications.Needs more room on the top left of the pouch to allow for the mic attachment plug (motorola XTS). A patch of stretch material here would work.Fits fine without mic.A plastic insert over the PTT button to prevent accidental open mic.A slot at the front to take a spare battery (getting picky here).
The function of the product is very good. It will handle shorter and taller radios with simple adjustment. I use at least three different radios depending on which agency is running a particular operation. I had some difficulty with certain radios fitting in the pouch if the accessory attachment is on the side of the radio. I was still able to get them in but it required a little finesse.A note on attachment: I bought several molle products at the same time. The 6x6 and radio pouches fit perfectly. The pistol mag and cuff pouches fit but only if I skipped one of the loops on the pouch. It was very frustrating during installation that some of the products fit perfectly and were easy to install and the others were not. I only mention this as a warning that there may be slight differences item to item, which could affect the ease of installation.
This is a nice, fairly inexpensive radio pouch. I have used it with large Motorola radios and smaller digital radios as well. They all seem to fit well but it may be tight with a mic attachment on the side. I use this on a duty belt, which is not technically MOLLE but the layout of the snaps and elastic bands lets it fit securely. It holds it very snugly and I am not worried about it falling. I think they could make it 1-2 cm wider and still be able to hold the radio well but not be as tight.
I wear this on my Protective Vest while on patrol. It is very durable, fits securely, but one of the snaps broke the second day of owning it. I haven't had problems with the other items in the same line (mag holders and cuff case) which seem to be holding up well.
This radio pouch serves its purpose and appears very well constructed, which you'd expect from 5.11. Pouch holds my Motorolla XTS 2500 secure to my armor carrier tac vest. My only complaint is the Slickstick molle attachment has two plastic buckles at the top, and the two buckles push the top of the radio out and away from your body, making the radio stick out more than I'd like. Not a deal breaker, and the pouch is still a good one, I just prefer my gear to be as streamline as possible so things don't get snagged.
Use with my VTAC vest to hold my radio and it holds it secure, however; No way to adjust for small size radio like Vertex so I had to put a block of foam to fill the space and you cant see the LCD of the radio.
This radio pouch works well on my MOLLE vest & takes a lot of weight off of my duty belt. The Motorola Sabre radio fits perfectly in the pouch, but the velcro can be noisy. Highly recommended
I use this case for my duty motorola. It works better than some of my staffs cases. We've had several have an open mic because the case presses against the transmit button
Using this on my vest carrier at work. The slicksticks are a good idea but poor in practice. Malice Clips or Molly Stix are way better. That being said, this is a great buy. My department uses motorola xts 3500 series radios and this fits them perfectly. I snipped off a couple useless loops, and also the buckles for the slicksticks. After I got those out of the way I used Molly Stix to attach the pouch. it is now on there rock solid. You may have to make small adjustment like I did, but its worth the time.
I use this on my 5.11 responder 24 backpack while hiking through the wilderness of my jurisdiction. I use a Motorola HT1000 with a mic and it fits perfectly. Very rugged piece of equipment.
