Chris B.,
I’ve been using this as a warm weather mountain biking bag. It carries a basic load out of tools, first aid kit, keys, phone, wallet a knife and a pistol. nnIt’s incredibly comfortable and allows me to easily access tools without having to take my pack off. Additionally, my back is no longer a sweaty mess after a ride.
RaspundeSee,
I was looking for a chest pack and was pretty set on getting a cheap one on Amazon. When I did a broader search I came across this Utility Chest Pack. It really caught my attention because I wanted something that had a lot of pockets, something durable, water resistant, and didn't look too "tactical". This fit all of those and I'm very pleased with this product. Having been using sling bags for most of my life, I'm excited to switch over to this chest pack to hold my EDC. Thanks 5.11 for making this awesome chest pack! One of the best I've seen and purchased.

By far the best utility bag that I’ve owned. It’s comfortable and it doesn’t slide around like my previous bag.
RaspundeMark,
Super light. Super tough. Super well layed out for any situation or need. nOnly skip it if you need something Very large or need more MOLLE nI added a larger set of straps whereas I have a very broad chest and so it fits Over Winter clothing. The medium guy should have no problem

All V. stuff fit perfectly. easy to carry rigth size not heavy at all.
RaspundeDan E.,
I've owned this pack for awhile, and have used it year-round for hiking, MTB, Nordic skiing, and fishing. For the most part, I love it. It's comfortable with a CCW, and has plenty of organizational pockets (almost too many). The quick-unzip tabs for CCW are super. Generally durable and well constructed. My only issue is that some of the zippers don't stay closed in cold weather; they pop open, even when not overfilled. I live in a place with a very cold climate, so I don't feel comfortable using it for about half the year. I have lots of 5.11 gear, but I am shopping for a more reliable replacement. I would not recommend if you plan to use in temps below 20F.

Got this primarily for my SIG P229 to carry when in tee shirt. The fabric is light, but seems durable enough. I LOVE the corner pull tabs! I also have a Hill People Bag, and it's a big wider and taller, but the 5.11 had this blue, non-threatening color for those special folks out there, and the 5.11 chest pack also wears neater with the strap management and is easier to get on and off your body. The size is BARELY big enough for the P229, but once you get the maxpedition trigger guard setup in there, my SIG sits in there tight, but still has an easy draw. I would likely buy more of these. More non-tactical colors are a plus in these bags, and would like to continue to see those in production. 6'2", 280 #, 50 inch chest. Fits fine.

I'm using this in conjunction with a GoRuck Rucker to be able to quickly access items while on long rucks. It fits my needs perfectly and is very easy to reach as opposed to other strap mounted bags. I also use it while running. 5.11 knocked it out of the park with this one!
Raspundemr.t,
I bought this 2 years ago for search and rescue and for when i go biking. Its been throught the sh*t many times to say the least. Theres no fraying, fading or any signs of wear. Just stains from dirt and the smell of sweat and glory. The only thing i would change is if it had a way to molle to something like the rush bags but there are alternative options for that. I hightly recomend this. Now that its in orange ill be buying another.

Fallenangelks,
Zippers are junk and broke within a week tried numerous times to get help and get a replacement and nothing. The front pocket lining is thin and punctured easy. Definitely not worth the hefty price tag.

Ive been using it for a few months and its great holds everything I need
RaspundeKevin,
I bought this so I could comfortably carry while hiking with a backpack without sacrificing accessibility. So far the pouch is great. I took it on a hike over the weekend and it was pretty comfortable. I'm currently using it with a Glock 19 in a Gun Goddess kydex velcro holster and it fits great. It took very little practice with the hot pull tabs to become just as fast and consistent as drawing from an appendix holster.
RaspundeJohn A.,
Very comfortable, works great and holds everything I would want to put in it
RaspundeEric,
I bought this mainly for motorcycle riding. nI don't get the reviews saying this doesn't fit them. I'm 6'2" 215lbs, 44" chest and with armored motorcycle jackets this pack fits fine and has plenty of room to spare.nNot great with sport bikes but works well for more upright riding positions. Barely noticeable and easy to access with gloves on while riding. nSo far it carries pretty much everything I've needed. I like the elastic straps and pockets internally to help organize items. CCW, leatherman, light, pepper spray, 2 cell phones, wallet (ridge style), Zyn can, keys. . . Wouild be nice if it expanded maybe another half an inch or so. nMaterials are solid enough but not bulletproof. I would like slightly thicker straps and more robust connections but I think this will work fine for its intended purpose. nNot so sure about daily casual use. This std model isn't as "tactical" as some others but doesn't really look like a casual bag. With motorcycle gear on it's not an issue. We have all sorts of gear and pockets and tactical bags etc etc. so this bag fits into that style pretty well. nnGood deal overall. Even if this one breaks, I'm sure I'll grab another.
RaspundeJuan,
This pack is great. I like the that it keeps my stuff contained center mass instead of on the side. My only complaint is the straps. Can you make the straps pull forward to tighten? Adjusting this to fit based on layers is not the easiest. Too loose, too tight, then when its a good fit your layers change and has to be readjusted. If it was pull forward to tighten it would be extremely easy and fast to secure with the correct tension.
RaspundeDaniel M.,
There is 3 straps on this bag the two tank top ones and the other one that goes around your back. The one that goes around your back barely has any slack to fit me. I wear an XL. T-shirt and it fits barely. probably cant fit over me with sweat shirt. I only weigh 190 pounds. Should have used better clips on the bottom they feel very cheap. Afraid they will break if use them a lot.

Glenn,
This is just what I had been looking for. something to help me carry a firearm and also place snacks and phone in an easy to reach place while wearing a backpack. the pouche is well made and should last me many years. I had looked at other highly rated pouches but they were too large. I had to play around a few minutes to determine the right strap adjustment for me, which has the top of the pouch about level with my mid-chest (nipple height) any higher than this and the straps were on my neck. with this current set up I routinely hike 4-14 miles with it stating close to the chest without any sway. when the temperature is warmer I feel a bit warmer too, but at least I can safely and easily carry protection in a convenient place. I would buy it again and have encouraged friends to buy one.
RaspundeShaun,
This pack is a game changer for when I have to do long haul international flights in coach. I have all my essentials in the pack handy. I don't worry about things falling out of my pockets and I can reach everything when crammed into coach. I was surprised, but I had almost no sweat from the back or front. I can access my phone, passports, ear buds, wallet, and valuables with no worry about pick pockets for just me losing my stuff or figuring out what pocket it's in.

Very nice chest pack. I researched this a lot, and consider this one the best for me. Not huge, CCW, and still room to have some extra. Only wish is the upper straps adjust is a pain, other than that. . awesome

The Skyweight Utility Chest Pack is being utilized as a shoulder carry bag. . . awesome bag that is well made and holding up under everyday use. . . The Skyweight Utility Chest Pack is very functional that keeps your items well organized and close-at-hand. . .nI also have the Skyweight On The Go Pouch and use this as my on the belt phone pouch/carrier. . . it's about the same size a normal belt phone carrier but i can carry more useful items plus my phone. . . again an awesome little pouch/bag. . . very pleased with both 5. 11 products. . .nTRM
RaspundeCLN,
I purchased this on a whim and its been one of my favorite buys from 5. 11 ever. I use it every time I walk the dog or go on a hike. Like others mentioned it doesnt scream tactical and just barely fits my personal compact protection. My only gripe would be it needs longer straps. I have about a 48 chest and they are at their limits for as far as adjustments go. So in the colder months Im not able to wear it over hoodies/jackets. Still even with the small nitpick I love this thing and will be on the lookout for another one with more adjustments for bigger guys.
RaspundeWilliam K.,
Perfect combination of size and light weight. It keeps necessities handy while hiking and personal defense available without interfering with my waist belt. It seems to be good quality as I expect from 5. 11 and it's light weight.
RaspundeEric B.,
The size of the pouch is great. the quality is great. The chest pack runs a size small though. The straps where at there limit and if I had to wear anything other than a T-shirt it would not fit. I wear a size 2XL shirt.
RaspundeRICHARD T.,
Comfortable to wear only issue I had were the zippers sticks. Had to apply some dry wd-40 lube on the seems, but other than that great chest carrier :call_me_hand::skin-tone-5:
RaspundeShawn G.,
Well made product and performs as intended. However the pack is not wearable for those who have a larger frame or when wearing over layers for fall, and winter.
RaspundeMichael M.,
I am a Flight Medic and this bag is the ideal size. Front pouch is outstanding for repeatedly used items.
RaspundeMejia302,
Cool product, great idea, serves its intended purpose well. But, the zippers are terrible. I have a Select Carry Pistol Pouch also and the zippers are night and day. Very rough, get caught up frequently, little pieces of cord for zipper pull tabs, just bad all around. I already have a bent zipper element just from practicing my draw. Im not sure Id trust the zipper system with my life. Ill probably end up using this as more of a day pack on a trail rather than an urban carry, off body CCW option.
RaspundeRichard M.,
Good little pack, great for keeping immediate essentials at your fingertips nWhen out on the trail or out in the field
RaspundeRonnar S.,
I really like the brand, all spectrum of products, shirts, bags, accessories, etc. This is my favorite brand to use everyday.
RaspundeDonald B.,
Im a little concerned about the zippers. They do not seem to work very easy!
RaspundeRoderic H.,
I plan in using this for a fly fishing rig. I did violate your warranty by modifying a few things to suit my use, but the overall on this item is a 10. It serves as an excellent platform for what I an intending on using it for.
RaspundeJames S.,
Man! Let me tell you! This thing is so comfortable I forget its even on my chest. I use it while hiking and carry my FN 509 with a comp and red dot with no issues in the back flap, and med equipment in the front, along with my phone, flash light, wallet, and my dip with no issues took a little bit of wear in to get the zippers to loosen up for quick draw but thats where chapstick on the zipper comes in handy. I dont have anything on the molle because I try to be inconspicuous, but it could be great for chem lights or other attachments. 10 out of 10 do recommend to a friend
RaspundeWayne N.,
Much more functional than the tactical chest pack. Well designed.
RaspundePaul S.,
Well made and designed. Comfortable to wear during my brief testing. However, I never ended up using it during our vacation. I plan to use it during short hikes or on longer hikes in conjunction with a larger pack.
RaspundeNate Z.,
Great little bag and very convenient for those quick day hikes, nature walks, and fishing. This bag has plenty of room for EDC and more. In addition, it doesn't really scream (tactical)! However, I would suggest that if you are heavier or broader? It may fit very snug. I'm 61 and 295 lbs, and this bag fits just right considering it's at its limits with the strap length. This bag does feel comfortable and I have no issues with it riding up my neck or any hot spots. I would definitely recommend this pack.
RaspundeGina T.,
Perfect chest pack for fly fishing. Plenty of room, sturdy construction. It sits high enough to stay dry, but keeps the weight off of your neck.nAlthough using it for fishing, it'll fit multiple functions.
RaspundeMichael K.,
excellent for my road bike/ mountain walk... nits light weight and relative firm. though I have no ccw but that pocket is also good for storage some identity cards.
RaspundeRaul S.,
Perfect Tactical chest rig! Gun, 4 clips, Mini IFAK, Tourniquet, wallet, keys Flashlight.nnPerfect fit
RaspundeGilbert C.,
This is an awesome pack. Exactly what I was looking for in size and practicality. So many uses for this bag and very versatile in how you can mount it to your body. I really wish though that it had the YKK zippers all around but I have managed with it overall.
RaspundeRobert H.,
Great chest pack with a lot of compartments for your gear and weapon. I do wish the firearm pouch had easier zippers as its not as fast to open to access a weapon as I hoped it would be. Otherwise, a great pack and which I use daily.
RaspundeBryant O.,
Solid construction and comfortable to wear! Good size and very helpful to hold key items readily accessible while on the move. Highly recommend!
Raspundejosh m.,
Didnt like the dedicated carry mode, so i cut it off and made my own straps. The bag is badass!!! Fits everything i need and keeps my pockets empty. I have access to all my stuff right there when i need it and can take it off when i dont!! Perfect for walking around shopping , hiking, etc. Even great for edc!! I hate crap in my pockets!!
RaspundePhilip D.,
I'm enjoying my chest pack. Hand free weights off lower back very well thought out concept
Raspundejj,
straps are awful it can fit a lot more then youd wanna carry with razor sharp shoulder grating straps like these. 511 please make some slip on pads or something for this thing for those who extended uses or jogs
RaspundeJames D.,
I wish the top straps were quick release like the side, would make it more useful for transferring from one west to another. But good design otherwise
RaspundeDominick T.,
Great purchase. I am an avid hiker and motorcycle rider and use it for both. Lots of easily accessible space with a separate compartment for my Glock 19.
RaspundeDavid W.,
Ok but not great. The quick releases are flimsy and I see breaking very easy. They are hard to connect with the pack on. Ery hard to adjust the fit on the fly. CCW is ok but hard to access the weapon. I wouldn't buy it again or recommend it to others.
RaspundeCorey C.,
A sturdy chest rig for all sorts of outdoor activities. Appears to be good quality so far, and at a very fair price point. All of which I appreciate, 5.11
RaspundeAlejandro L.,
Good chest pack. Can carry a lot for its size, in addition to a pistol. I carry an Sig p365 macro with an eps carry dot sight on it, a light on it and its in a kydex holster in the conceal compartment. It all fits fine and I can draw it out comfortably. nnThis can be utilized on a belt like a Fanny pack, however the straps can only be undone from one side. So you still have the harness attached to it and you have to somehow find a way to tuck it away or fold it. So you cant really use it on a belt or like a Fanny pack. So hopefully they can redesign it so that the whole harness is removable easily. nnBetter color options like blue, red, or yellow would be nice. Something that helps you blend in with a a crowd as opposed to looking like your are wearing a tacticool plate carrier. For the price, its probably the better ones out there. I really wanted the blue Hill People gear chest rig, but for the price and similar dimensions, 5.11 was the better deal. nnIts definitely perfect for being on a kayak or canoe but you would have to loosen the straps to fit over the life jacket. Good for hiking too. Just keep in mind that you may not be able to buckle your back pack chest straps while wearing this. Also, I notice that my back pack straps do not completely go around my arms when wearing this chest pack. Its ever so slightly in the way to where the bag feels not quite on around your arms, but its still on. nnOverall, good chest pack, wish they had better color options to blend in with the hiking community, but best deal for your money.
RaspundeJames,
Initial review day 1 - I bought this for the sole purpose of concealing when not being able to use a holster on my belt line. My immediate need was (casual) mountain biking as I'm new to it and the movement of biking doesn't work for AIWB, and for 4:00 it begins to show as your clothing moves around while pedaling. So in that sense this does a very good job getting it away from your moving body parts. The draw for the tear away works well (in practice). I was using a Glock 43 and it fits fine with a +1 or +2 pinky extension. A Glock 19 occupies the entire pocket but works fine. The issue I have with it is that there is elastic for mags (plenty of spots) however it competes with space for your holster. I loaded up 3 of the spots with mags, and while it gets a bit bulky it works better as a wall of mags than two, but requires no mags by the grip otherwise your knuckles run into the mags on the draw. The second issue is the the tear away opens about 50% of the way due to the flexible fabric, so the one mag not hitting the holster is inaccessible until you tear it away completely. This would have been better with a stronger internal frame (like the strap material sewn across the top) to keep the top part rigid and to help force the zipper move beyond the halfway point. Lastly unlike the LV10 that has an added piece of velcro to cinch the holster down, with this one, you will need velcro stuck on your holster, meaning a second holster, or your daily belt holster would need aftermarket velcro straps to hold it in place.nnOther parts...with the wall of mags, the main compartment becomes much smaller but fits everything on me that I daily carry. Perhaps since I have not loaded it up completely, I'm not seeing the 2L capacity of space, but I think it would have been better with stretch material compressing a larger compartment, or a second zipper that expands it larger by 0.5-1" because the bottom of the compartment also folds under your holster in the CC compartment when zipped. The harness was claustrophobic at first until I realized there were clips to release the side straps. It would have been better if the top harness points were also QDs as you lose your fitment if you convert this to a fanny pack as removing the straps is required. Harness was a pain to adjust but after proper adjustment, fit fine. Not sure the purpose of the fourth front pocket (portion with logo), but if it had a way to secure it closed (velcro?), that would be a win.nnFinal thoughts after receiving it, I think it will work for the instances that I ride, which isn't daily. If its was daily and I had to rely on it I would be disappointed if its was my only "bag" as space with a CC is very limited. I tried on my camelbak backpack that I use and the chest strap rides just above the Skyweight pack, and doesn't interfere with the CC function. I do like aspects of it, and I like my 5.11 LV10, so I'm going to keep it, but sure wish it was slightly better for me to use it everyday.
RaspundeAndrew J.,
My first I thoughts were that it was a little too small... I was wrong. The organisation is on point, it actually has better organisation than my 2 banger (which I love and can't be without) and I was thinking that maybe I should be that size, nope. For larger firearms forget the holster, it fits just fine, and did I mention the organisation?!! This is perfect.
RaspundeJohn P.,
Ill save my money for v2. The top strap buckles need to be detachable like the side buckles so it can be easily converted to fanny pack use or removed while wearing a backpack! They should also include (or at least sell as an accessory) a proper slightly padded waist belt to convert it into a fanny pack. Its shown with the belt from the Skyweight backpack, but that thing is enormous and overkill for a fanny pack, AND not available separately (really 5.11??). It should be a strap that attaches to the side buckles so its small and could fit in the pack itself. Also, it would be great if the front pocket had a cell phone camera window like the Vertx SOCP (but better designed than that one). That flimsy stretchy thing seems useless for anything substantial and things would easily fall out if you bend over. Its almost there and better than a lot of offerings, but misses the mark by too much to make it a compelling product. Its like 5.11 rushed it to market without really thinking it through and testing it.
RaspundeHunter D.,
I use this running. Carrys wallet keys knife phone and G19 with RDS and light. nnIt is great. Sturdy and comfortable. If it is that comfortable for running it will be great for hiking. nnIf the CCH pocket was just the smallest but larger it would fit a Full size pistol with RDS (fits but doesnt quite zip over the sight, but it does stay shut even not being zipped all the way to the pull tab). nnGreat product. When I wear this one out in a few years I will be getting another for sure.
RaspundeKeith F.,
Great, super portable carry pack for when your backpack is already too full.
RaspundeJason H.,
works great for motorcycle riding! carrys everything i need in an easy to retrieve position on my body. its comfortable and adjustable. lightweight helps alot.
RaspundeJohn R.,
First off, overall a good (not perfect) little pack, would recommend. However, a couple things to be aware of: It's a little bit smaller than I expected and the straps are not completely detachable at all 4 points as advertised. Also the pulls on the zippers were dinky and inadequate but that's a quick fix with some paracord. Other than those small grips, good value here!
RaspundeClinton C.,
Good piece of gear! The straps have a quick release, and the zippers are smooth.
RaspundeBernie B.,
I wish I could get it to fit on me. Overall it is a good bag but I am way to fat for this pack :(
RaspundeKyle H.,
Good for fitting my Glock 17 when hiking with a hip belt backpack
RaspundeJohn K.,
This is absolutely perfect for mountain biking and hiking. I wish this were released 10+ years ago but better late than never!
RaspundeRichard A.,
I really like this chest pack. I have been looking for a way to carry a pistol on my chest when in the backcountry, and this fits the purpose perfectly. I like that the pistol is concealed, both for discretion and to keep the gun and ammo clean and protected from the elements. Tabs allow the zipper to be opened in an instant for both right and left-handed draw. Easily adjusts to fit me and is comfortable to wear. Room for other items such as small tools, fire starter and first aid. Excellent design and 5.11 quality! I really like having another carry option.
Raspundemike w.,
I like this chest pack but I think it could use some improvement with the straps. It could benefit with a longer adjustable chest strap made with stretchable elasticized nylon. The stretchable elasticized nylon would hold the chest pack snug to the body and would be alot more comfortable to wear. I have a fanny pack from galco that has 1.5" wide Stretchable elasticized nylon waist strap with Nexus buckle hardware that is very comfortable to wear.
RaspundeBrennan H.,
Internal space is well thought out. It would have been nice if the bottom loops would have been Molle for easier knife sheath attachment.
RaspundeDavid M.,
This is a solid 5.11 product for sure. It has the organization that 5.11 is known for and maximizing space. I love that compartments. What I dont like is the adjustability is less than ideal in my experience. The straps are definitely once youre locked in youre good to go! But getting there stinks. I will modify mine for more efficient adjustments. If youre looking for a less expensive option for a hill people gear kit bag this might be up your alley. nnIm 61 225 and have 46 chest for reference
RaspundeJonathan G.,
This is SO CLOSE to being perfect! Here are the changes I would like to see for a Skyweight V2. #1 A quick release buckle on the top straps, not just the sides. #2 some type of attachment option on the back strap pad, maybe discrete laser cut molle? #3 a few more attachment points on the outside of the pack, nothing ostentatious, just a few loops to clip items, again, the discrete nature of this pack is what sells it over the molle version. # 4 on the CCW compartment, make both sides full velcro, this would allow the user to decide their accessory arrangement vs being contained to a few elastic loops arrangements.
RaspundeD. F.,
First glance at it, looked smaller than I had expected. But I'd read the specs, 6"H x 10"W x 2.5"D. I don't plan on carrying anything bigger than a P365, Taurus Poly .38 or S&W Model 638 in it as I'll mainly use this while hiking, kayaking or biking. Anywhere else would scream: "Shoot me first". But just to be sure I stuffed a S&W SD40 full size pistol in it with 2 spare mags (it has spaces for 5 + 8) and there was room to spare. The CCW area is at the rear of the pack and has two zippers. The zippers can be oriented for left or right hand draw and it has a tab accessible at the top left and right hand corners that you can snatch and pull down for quicker access. The tabs tuck away inside the pouch when not in use. Nice feature, but I think repeated use might wear out the zippers. For my use, I could go with a slightly slower draw using the 2 zippers that give a more certain full access. There is a forward open pouch and a zippered middle pouch that'll open fully for easy access to 2 sections with eight 1" straps for mags, three 3" webbed pouches, two 4" webbed pouches and two 4" cloth pouches. It'll hold one standard size water bottle, maybe two if I carry a skinny handgun. Not a big deal as I can carry water in my old sling pouch if I need to.nnHad trouble putting this on right out of the box, so I adjusted the top straps about 1". Tight fit for my too large melon, so I let it out another inch. When I got it on the chest rig rested below my chin. I have this (almost) phobia about ties, necklaces or anything around my neck that I can't shuck quickly if I am being strangled. This thing was too tight, too close to my chin, too hard to shuck off. *shiver*. I did incremental adjustments on both top straps until I got the whole rig lower, more comfortable to see in to and to access things with my hands. Also, I found that adjustment sweet spot where all I had to do was raise my hands over my head to quickly wiggle out of the rig. I used to catch grief for wearing a clip-on tie but because of my phobia about strangulation and my Eff U attitude I overcame that. Because I am robust from hips to neck I didn't have to make any adjustments to the back straps. They came fully adjusted for my mature somatotype. All the straps are easy to remove, so it can be worn on a belt. The fit is excellent after making the adjustments. Just what I have been wanting for a decade or two. I like this rig. Great customer service from 5:11 and I got it in less than 48 hours.
RaspundeEzra,
If your chest is 54 or over, you may have issues with this pack. The bottom straps aren't very long, I have a 56 chest and it does not fit comfortably. The construction is good, and the bag is laid out very well. I contacted 5.11 and there are no extenders available at this time.
RaspundeEVL,
If you have a Chest size over 54, do not buy this chest pack, it will not fit comfortably. I contact 5.11 via email and they have no way to extend the bottom straps. Hill People Gear is your way to go. Other than the sizing issue, it is a nice pack.
RaspundeNORMAN L.,
I originally bought the lv6 and used it for my everyday use. But as a in a sling version.... sometimes it would swing in my way when bend/kneel down. This being a chest rig its always secure and in front of me and easily accessible. Love it :heart_eyes::heart_eyes:
RaspundeEric W.,
I love this chest pack. Still trying to figure out how I can wear it with my pack though. Can I attach it to the straps? Not sure but will figure it out.
RaspundeNathaniel B.,
Works great for concealing a small handgun and carrying a few other small items while hiking.
RaspundeJax A.,
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I first saw this new design. However I figured I'd get one and atleast try it out. And I am glad that I did!!!nnFirst item I like is how it doesn't look tactical at all. Very low profile with the great organization you can expect from 5.11. The mesh backing helps a ton when wear8ng for long periods and running/rucking. And I really like how I can carry a compact piece with a hot-tab for easy access!!! nnIt is a bit tidious to adjust but once you get it you'll have no issues donning and doffing this chest rig.nnHappy to add this to my 5.11 collection!!
RaspundeRJH V.,
I purchased this Skyweight Utility Chest Pack a week ago and traveled internationally with this pack for the first time today, and this purchase is a complete home run! Having my passport, wallet, phone etc. up front, secure and accessible is a game changer. Im almost 55, too young to wear a fanny pack, and too old to wear a fanny pack crossbody. This fits perfectly fine with a RUSH 24 bag, but also was was comfortable with my Osprey Porter 46. nnI have been to over 150 cities around the globe, and I very, very highly recommended this.
RaspundeHarley,
Positives: The usual manufacturing quality you'd expect from 5.11 gear. Materials are of great quality and I like the color selections a lot. It took me a while to decide which color to buy. nnNegatives: Adjustments are clunky. You have to feed the strap over and under itself in the buckles and it takes some finger dexterity to make the micro adjustments to get the right length of the top and bottom harness. I don't understand why they can't just make the bottom side adjustments friction straps like in most backpacks where you pull to tighten. It took me close to 30 minutes to dial this in right where I wanted it to be. If you have to add or shed clothing layers you will need to go through the whole process all over again to make it comfortable. I like the pouch itself so I thought I'll just convert it into a fanny pack. Well, the side buckles are quick release but the top ones are not. I would have to go through the repetitive loosen-and-pull method to free this thing. The whole time I kept thinking, did they not have anyone test this? In the end it was more trouble than its worth so I returned it.

Collin,
I was looking for a new bag for fly fishing but I never cared for the style of the dedicated bags. I have several clothing item from 5.11 so I thought I'd try a bag from them. It's a perfect fit for my fly fox, line, and other supplies.
