Great product for carrying stuff. I use mine for magazines only at matches, no medical. One caution is that the dedicated mag pouch on the back of the unit works best with 40 round mags or 33 round Glock mags.
Good product and great quality as it is the norm with 5.11 products. The mag cavity is too deep, the magazines could / should sit higher in my opinion, which would make them easier to grab. Other than that great pouch.
I've done a lot of searching and this is exactly what I wanted. I searched lightingx, condor, Amazon, etc, and just could find the right one. The molle front is what I desired most. My one and only complaint is that I'm 6" and 190lbs and I have the leg strap at the very end of the strap to be able to connect it.
Its good quality and the Velcro strip people are having problem with is for inside the pouch to strap stuff in. Cover you just need to adjust the bungie lace to open full or half. Undue the knot. Last the thigh strap is really tight fully open. Unless your a tiny tiny man I don't see how this can't fit a thigh in jeans. Once again I will have to fix what should have been right in the first place. I would buy it again but with different bodies comes constant work.
As with all 5.11 bags/pouches its well thought out
Michael,
Well made, perfectly suited for the job its made for. I am disappointed/confused with the included long strip of Velcro that no explanation is offered for. Makes me think its included for a specific purpose (bc all of 5.11 bags/pouches have so much thought put into them) however the fact there is no explanation to be found leaves me wondering what am I missing? Please provide explanation!
I purchased this as a response pack for patrol. I used 4 Magpul Pmags with ranger plates and they fit perfectly I store a AR500 EPIK in the front pouch with a RATS tourniquet. Holds everything great. I did replace the Velcro loop and the attachment ring with a ZAK tool drop leg triangular ring and belt clip. One of my partners uses a duty belt loop for the ring it comes with and he loves it.
This product would be better if I could store med supplies and mags, however it cant fully accommodate 2 full GSW kits let alone Mags with them. Good concept but not perfectly done. But still well done.
Just purchased, not going to be able to use it. Magazines fall all the way down inside and aren't accessible. Very limited space for medical gear and with anything in it the top doesn't secure well. Comes with a long strip of hook Velcro and no explanation anywhere as to what it's for.Don't recommend.
I originally bought this UCR thigh rig by accident and use it as my handbag now for storing the items I need for daily use including some tools and makeup. It's offering surprisingly much storage room for that size while having everything secured inside; After some weeks I got me a second one for my airsoft stuff to carry around. The straps can be adjusted to a comfortable and safe fit while the MOLLE system allows you to add some attachment points for pens and stuff or a funny morale patch. On the airsoft fields the drop front is a real game changer so you have access to your tools or bandages at once without browsing the whole bag.
This UCR thigh rig is awesome. Great construction/stitching. The "grip" texture on the belt keeps the rig from slipping on your leg. I was able to fit gloves, shears, Israeli bandage, 35 gram Celox, chest seal, gauze, mini duct tape, RATS tourniquet, NPA and some other small items with room to spare. The mag carrier feature is great as well.
Ramiro,
I ordered the UCR Thigh Rig and I was sent the UCR IFAK instead. Will be ordering a different brand thigh rig.
