My old pair i had for 2 years before they tore because woman wearing mens pants thighs rubbing, pants dont last long. 2 years is good bought a pair of these and they ripped after 3 months of use. I like these pants. I bought two pair. However, I washed both of them in cold water and one of the pair the pant legs shrank about 1 to 2 inches. Kinda odd. So needless to say when i sit down the pants come up over the boot so now im down to one pair. Not sure what to do about pant length now. Disappointing

If you wear skinny jeans, than this is the right fit for you. If you've ever been to a gym and put in a leg day, these are not the right fit. When I bend my knee at 90, the whole pant is filled and the stretchy part kicks in. Don't like it. The waist fits comfortably, the pockets are great.... but I'm going to stick with the Taclite Pro reg fit.

These are the third pair of ABR pro pants that I have ordered and while they are still decent, I have QC concerns. In particular, although identical in appearance and labeling, they fit much different from my first pair. This discrepancy mean the fit is much less comfortable in this case and can even be restrictive in regards to my general mobility. The issue is not substantial enough to make me return them however it feels unacceptable for a product of this price point to vary this much.

The quality is unsurpassed. Very well made item. Extremely baggy in the butt area. Washed in cold water and they faded a good bit. If you’re not worried about fit or the color, and are looking for a quality item that is stitched well and will last then this is for you. If it’s to match a uniform shirt you already have, then look elsewhere.

Traveling through remote regions of the world, this pant is airport friendly for documents needed and iPhone ready for use. The pants cleans easily from mud and dust to stay fresh looking. The weight is great for hotter tropical and desert climates in Africa. Of the four or five models I use, I am liking this one the best.

I have 5 pairs of these, my wife has 2, my son has 4...and I cant even remember how much I have bought for the rest of my family. These are the best pants 5.11 does, size wize, material quality wise, absolutley built for purpose, while they not only function for the range, for a hike, for work in the office...but also to go shopping or to the movies. I would put just one thing out there...its great that the mens version is Straight fit, I would have done the same fit for the womens version (vs doing it regular). Overall SUPER GREAT pick. Fo after it!

The pants are of good quality and are very useful for many trade, to include my own (Auto industry). My dissatisfaction is only that even the smallest sized pants are outrageously over sized for me, and when it is clearly indicated as my size - you can only imagine that I'm trying to outdo MC Hammer. As a man about 5'7 120lbs, there are millions of people like me who NEED pants that can keep up with my pace and demands. It feels unfair that I have to buy women's clothing in order to ALMOST fit..

I honestly wish yall would start hemming pants from the factory. I had to pay $80 for a seamstress to hem all 4 pairs I bought because yall wouldn’t hem them. So all in all I paid a little over $300 for 4 pairs of pants, please start hemming pants from the factory regardless of waist size. It appears 5.11 tactical is prejudiced to people with bigger waist sizes

These pants are fairly durable especially when compared against the Stryke pants. I have 2 pair left out of 5 pair bought in 2018. They are comfortable and the tech pocket is great. The only area I have a problem with is the cut. These are advertised as straight leg and they are NOT STRAIGHT LEG.. The leg tapers towards the ankle. Makes getting them around a boot top more of a chore.

These things are the best - Pretty much ruined me from wearing denim jeans. Absolutely the most comfortable, best fitting pants I've ever worn. Bought these a few years ago also, and I could be wrong, but the ones I recently bought seem more substantial with a bit thicker material. When traveling these can be worn more than once and they don't even wrinkle. Also great at the range with all the pockets. 5'8", 195lbs., 36" waist, 30" inseam with an athletic build, and the fit is spot on. I hope these are never discontinued.

Fits more like slim than straight. The groin is very tight, which I've had with the Apex pants as well. Very tight and uncomfortable to be squatting, kneeling, and working in. I prefer the looser cut of Propper and the price point with them is much better. Will not be purchasing any 5.11 pants after using them for over 6 years in state parks, fire, and EMS

I have been wearing the 511 Stryke and Apex pants for years but hesitated on the ABRs due to the strap on the pocket. I feared it would hang up on everything. But after wearing them several times this proved to not be the case and I love them.

After many years wearing the Original 5/11 Tactical pants. I decided to try a newer style. Unfortunately the changes didnt bode well for my life style. Whoever thought it was cute to put a phone pocket inside the left rear pants pocket. Was probably the same one who had a roaring fireplace fire on Christmas Eve! nMy wallet slips in, but I play Havoc trying to get the wallet back out! Movingvthe knive pocket forward was another brilliant move. Before it sat at your side. Now its forward when you sit its like a lump wanting to get out or off your lap. I also miss the triple closure , fastener up front.nThese are such simple things that make a huge difference in comfort wearability.

Overall, the pants are designed well for EDC items in the multiple pockets. They are comfortable and durable. The only issue I've had after several months, is the fabric strap holding the button on the waistband has broken. I will have to find a replacement strap to fix them.

Just got my ABRs and they are what I expected from the knee up but I am not liking the straight legs. Being a mechanic I would rather have more leg room. I might be returning these. I wish they had more room like the TAC Light PROS. I do like the new design and it gives me a better place for my phone instead of my cargo pocket.

I can't say enough about these pants. I won 3 pairs of them and they are by far my favorite cargo pants. The stretch in them combined with all the well placed pockets make these pants comfortable and my good to for tactical wear. They also very durable which is an added benefit.

These pants are absolutely great. . . . . from the knee up. From the knee down I'd honestly have to say they are a fail. The straight fit narrows them at the ankle causing them to look like skinny jeans. Unfortunately, I am not a man who was blessed with skinny little bird legs, instead I have thick meaty legs, one could even say they're cankles, and need my britches to give me some room down there to move. With these pants, I have to put my socks on before my pants because I can't pull them up my calves high enough to pull my socks up all the way. Hey 5. 11, please, please, please, offer these pants in a regular fit as well (similar to the Stryke) and you will have produced as perfect product as anyone could provide.

Slim version of Taclite Pro Ripstop Cargo Pants for duty. But no the same color in Khaki. Makes these pants in color TDU (162) so I can wear them for duty. Why make simmer version of the Cargo Pants but no in the same color?

I have worn these pants for years. I like the cargo type pockets on the legs for carrying things that I want to keep secure. No pickpocket will get into your pockets undetected. I take long road trips and I am more comfortable driving without a wallet in my hip pocket. These pants repel liquids pretty good and wear really well. I carry a concealed handgun, so I like the pockets designed to carry spare magazines and/or a knife with a pocket clip. Keep up the good work!

I have three pairs of these. One pair of canvas cargo pants, and one pair of Taclite pro ripstop cargo pants. The Taclite and canvas are identical except for the material they are made out of and one less pocket for the canvas pant. The ABR pros are like the next gen of the the other two styles. All three styles have backslash pockets, knee pad slots. And multiply other pockets. The Taclite and canvas are supposed to be regular fit. But the pairs I received were relaxed fit. They are really baggy which I don't like. The ABR pros fit great and are comfortable in any position. The canvas is heavier and will probably hold up better over time. But I have had the ABR pros the longest and use all these pants working on elevators. I pair has some small rips from snagging sharp metal. Some small holes from welding and grinding metal. The backslash pockets are great for holding tools while and materials while in tight areas or up on a ladder. Knees hold up well. I'm often kneeling in concrete pits or metal car tops. All three hold up well. I prefer the ABR pros due to fit and comfort. If the other styles fit better I'd like them better.

I like these pants for the most part. However I have noticed they wear through in the crotch seam rather quickly with prolonged wear. The fabric is lighter than the Tac Lite Pro. I like the tech pocket. nnHowever. . . The legs are not straight. They taper down to the cuff. Who ever thought that the bottom cuff needed to be so slim is ridiculous. That and the lighter seeming fabric makes them ok for every day wear but not in a work environment.

This pair has a button closure. Pair from the store has a snap closure. This pair has narrow legs. This pair I bought a 35 inch waist. These fit like a 34 inch waist. I bought this pair because I was happy with my store purchase but this pair is no the same. I'm not happy. I won't buy these online again. I usually try on everything before I buy it. I'm going to keep this because I've already worn them but never again online.

I have two pairs. One for casual use and one for EMT use. They have lasted over two years and continue to work great. Very mobile and comfortable. Lot's of pockets to stow gear. When I travel casually, I only need one pair because any stains easily come out with a damp washcloth.

I love the pocket compartments for all of my items. They fit very comfortable and breathable! My only issue is that all four of mines ripped in the inner thigh area. I find myself trying to preserve them by hand sewing it back, but that didn't quite work well on my end.

the pants is a good quality and has some nice pockets that can be used and overall the quality was good, HOWEVER, it is so tight in the crotch area, that after spending some hours walking in it as well as moving around, it becomes almost unbearable due to your groin not having the appropriate room. Additionally when you sit and then get up your entire ass gets exposed due to the pants not conforming to your waist, however this might be altered with some tailoring, although this might affect the fit and upper side pockets migjht become too tight.

These have to be the most comfortable pants Ive had in a long long time. They fit perfectly. Im between a 32 - 33 and there is enough stretch to be just right. You have plenty of mobility and the way they repel water is awesome. I bought 4 pairs for work and hiking and am so glad I did. I would highly recommend these pants.

I have had 6 pairs of these pants. The first three lasted about 5 years of daily wear in rough conditions. I work outdoors in briars and rough terrain as well as I used to work construction and these pants have held up to everything I have thrown at them. Didn't realize that they where straight leg . Not very comfortable for sitting down as the plant legs ride up and the two front phone pockets are to small for my phone. The strap on the back is nice for a radio to clip too though

the ABR Pro pants are nice pants, however, I ordered the same size I wear in the Taclite Pro but the ABR are a little tight. I would suggest ordering a size up if buying the ABR Pro. The ABR Pro are definitely not my "go to" pants for work. I'm assuming the ABR fit a little tighter due to them being a straight fit over a relaxed fit. Overall, as I said, they are good pants I just wish I would have ordered a size up.

After a year of VERY hard use, both of my pairs are starting to show wear in some unfortunate spots. The stitching on the pockets has started to come loose from clipping/unclipping flashlights and knives. On another pair, the stitched connection between the panel right below the back of my right knee and the rest of the leg has come undone, leaving a small gap that luckily doesn't show.nnOnly qualm I had with the pants is that abrasion shows VERY clearly on the knees. I am kneeling, crouching, and sliding around on my knees with internal kneepads in the slots, and there is always discoloration (a light to medium gray) on the knees that doesn't come out without a wash. I tried brushes, wet cloths, and compressed air to remove it, to no avail. This means that If I am kneeling and sliding at the very beginning of my shift, the discoloration stays throughout the whole shift, making me look messy and therefore less professional than if the pants had a different, more abrasion resistant material on front of the knee. This seems to be the only aspect of the pant that isn't well thought out.nnWith that being said, the rest of the pant are well thought out, and you would be hard pressed to find a better pair at the price point.

These pants are great, just like everyone else says. The pockets are well thought out and hold whatever I need. nnHowever, I suppose you're reading this to find out about the hidden feature. For me, it's the strap at the right hip. It is ideally located to anchor my holster so it doesn't slide around when I grab for my gun in the heat of competition. That's a small thing that may not apply to everyone, but for me, it's a fantastic benefit.

I absolutely love the style of these pants. The pant material is perfect for what I need. My favorite feature is the amount, style and location of the pockets. Even though the pockets are my most favorite feature they are also my worst issue. While the pant material is perfect, the material inside the pockets is awful. I own three pairs of these pants and my phone has popped through the pocket material in the right front pocket in all three pairs. One pair this happened within a week of purchase and the other two pairs, within a few weeks. I also have the same issue with the smaller pocket on the front on the right side where I carry my pen, light and box cutter. This pocket lasts a little longer but still within a few months of purchase. These are all normal things that would be carried in the pockets but the material inside is not durable enough to handle them for good length of time. If this issue was some how fixed, I would never buy a different pair of pants again. I have perfectly good, wearable pants on the outside with the pant material but yet unwearable pants because of the poor pocket material on the inside.

I have been wearing 5. 11 Tactical clothing for over 10 years now and as of late something has changed big time! Everyday for over 10 years I have had either a pair of Taclite Pro or ABR shorts or pants on everyday. I have a pair of Taclite Pro Pants that I rcvd on 4/28/2010 that I still wear every week and yea they are worn and beat but there not coming apart or shrinking everytime I wash them. I rcvd a pair of ABR Pants and the 1st time washing them they shrunk over an inch in length. 2nd time washing them they shrunk again. Now I have 2 pairs of almost brand new pants that I can't wear because now the 32-30 pants actually measure 32-28 now but the Taclite pro pants I have had since 2010 haven't shrunk whatsoever. Now as far as the quality I can't speak on that because I can't wear either of the pairs of ABR pants and I refuse to spend another $70-$80 just to wear them 1 time and then not be able to fit after 1st wash. Hopefully something changes because 5. 11 Tactical was my 1st choice but now I'm not so sure?

Pants are comfortable and good quality. I have been wearing Tru-Spec pants for years and wanted to try 5. 11. Though I do like the pants comfort and quality I do not like the utility of the pockets. Its real simple. Most using these pants will have three basic items, wallet, cell phone and pens. For quick access (slide in/out) they have the rear-side and one front. As a right handed person the front would work best for my phone. That leaves a rear, side for the other which would be pens or wallet. Dont like wallet in rear for safety, and rear is not great for pens. The tool strap on the right side is useless for me, probably most. I get the history and tradition of it, but I would imagine very few actually have a need.

Bought them for the color I even tried them on in the store. For whatever reason the length shrank 1 to 2 inches when I washed them in cold water. The waist stayed the same size. So of course since I washed them I can't really return them. Nothing like wasting money.

These are the EMS pants for people who cant stand the bulky, heavy, and overall uncomfortable EMS pants. The front flap pocket hold my go to pen light and sharpie, the rear pockets hold my phone and radio well. The strap is great for support during CPR (the homies whove done it on the go know what I mean). Give me a trauma shear pocket on the outside of these pants and we have the true EMS pant.

I particularly like how the ankle is just slightly more tapered allowing for what I feel is a more comfortable and practical fit with either mid or low rise shoes/boots. I plan to purchase more soon. I would say these pants are true to size.

You will never be disappointed! Ive had these pants for over 5 years. I work as a broadcast technician. My work environment is -45 to 120 degrees. I work in the mud, rain, sun. I crawl around underneath trucks, stadiums and in grass, turf, rocks, brick and other materials. My knees are intact , pockets are solid, I have dark colors with almost zero fade on the black. The worst thing for 511 is I havent had to purchase any new pants!!! You wont be unhappy with the quality and the amount of pockets.

Bought these a few years ago and loved them. The fit was great, plenty of pockets and all of them were perfectly sized and positioned BUT... The pockets ripped very easily. The front pockets and the side pockets all ripped within a year, as well as the crotch ripped eventually. Granted I probably should've gone a size up so the crotch rip is negligible. If they made the pockets out of a thicker material then these would be the perfect pant.

Good balance of comfort and durability, work environment is industrial construction and I've been pretty happy with them across several pairs having roughed them up pretty well.nnI have had some inconsistencies in fit across multiple pairs of the same size, my brown ones fit a bit slimmer than the pairs of other colors that I have. I doubt that the color of the fabric is really the determining factor, but thats how it turned out for me. Despite the discrepancies, both fits are comfortable and functional. nnOne button has worn through the ribbon it was attached with. Stitching at the seams is not bombproof but holds up well. Stretch section on waistband/pocket lining is brilliant. Pockets are very functional, just wish the side pockets sat a little bit higher. Ripstop weave of the material performs very well. All of mine have ended up with a number of small holes, but they stay small. nnFlexible enough, not what I would call stretchy. Kneepad pockets are great for the most part but occasionally I have to manually re position the pad to be where I need it. nnPLEASE MAKE THEM IN DARK GRAY I WILL BUY 3 PAIRS INSTANTLY

Any way, this fit wonderfully. I just hope they hold up on my trip. Other reviews didnt give me high hopes, but I stay positive. If youre 58 or taller, make sure you get the 34 inseam.

I started wearing the original 5.11 pants back when they were made by Royal Robbins and you could only get them at camping and mountain gear stores. These are the same great cut and layout as the originals but with an improved fabric.

Flexible, comfortable, and durable pants that provide ease of movement. I do recommend sizing up a little, if you intend to conceal carry IWB, but overall a good pair of pants. Caught these on sale and the only take away I would give them is their price point. I would have not purchased them at the regular price.

I ve been hiking in these pants. Love them for their functionality. You can put Garmin in reach inside one pocket. Put your light rain jacket into cargo pocket. Put a pocket knife into it's spatial pocket. If you carry multitool there's a pocket for it. The downside is it's a little on the heavier side. And the worst thing is that peace of cloth like a small belt on the back of the pants. I countless times dropped my phone trying to put it inside the back pocket.

Materials are excellent. The pants are well constructed, very comfortable. Pockets are plentiful, well placed and intuitively designed. The only drawback for me is the "tool belt." I realized I didn't need it, but I liked the overall fit and look of these pants so I thought I could overlook the belt. I can't overlook it because it has snagged on a couple small trees and a piece of equipment on one of my jobsites. Obviously, these will not be used on site walk days.

I have wore 511 pants for almost 14 years. I use to buy the tac light pros and that is all I wore. Since the ABR pant came out, I find these are better. They move, feel great, comfortable, color doesnt fade, etc. the only other pant that I wear is the apex which are really nice also. I do everything in 511 pants and have a collection of shirts as well. The only downside is the price. The pants are little steep in the price, but I guess if you want a durable pair of pants, these are the way to go.

These are "OK" pants, the cut is a tad on the thin side. 5.11s used to be really baggy (and I have muscular legs), the cut on these is a tad slim for me. 32's would probably fit my legs/hips better but then the waist would be too large. The 5.11 Apex pant is my new favorite, they are worth the upcharge, IMO.

Normally wear a 36 waist on other styles from the 5.11 line and no problems. These fit like circus pants, always falling down from the waist to settle on my hips. Wife ordered a women's size 12 and same problem, fit more like a size 14. Suggest you order one waist size down if you actually wear your pants at the waist instead of hovering over the top of your butt. Have been satisfied with all my other 5.11 purchase styles bust this one was a let down.

I work with a variety of chemicals and water and the ripstop material holds up beautifully! I now have 3 pairs and would highly recommend them. These make great travel pants because of the stretch comfort, low bulk, and easy washing while on the road. I like the stretch, lightweight materials, and slimmer legs than my other 5.11 pants with the gear loop (yes I even had Royal Robbins 5.11 back in the day). Now if they only came in the dark charcoal color and 9.5" shorts, I would be buying more. Why not make the gear loop out of nylon instead of cotton?

The legs are a bit more tapered and they have a tighter fit in the thighs while having more room/stretch in the waist. I thought I would not like the button close over the snap close for the waist, but like it better.

They are as advertised. I find the fit a little tight in the straddle. The waist is not high enough, so I have to wear them below the hip bones. To me that is not ideal when carrying a gun in a holster. Otherwise they OK. I like the Taclites a little better. They are more for giving in the straddle.

Great pants, though I can't rate them to 5 stars for two small reasons. n1. They are sized a bit large, I wear a 38 and without a belt they will drop, so a bit big on the waste.n2. When washing be careful to not wash them with anything that will leave frizz. These puppies are like magnet for fuzz, lint, dog hair. It goes down after two to three washes but they still like have stuff stick to them. nAgain, other than those two small items they are great pants.

Working in a kitchen you dont have many choices for pants which fit properly as well as look professional. While at the same time are lightweight and cool enough as to not sweat through them in an hour. Enter the ABR Pro Pant. Theyre so comfortable I am slowly ditching my jeans for these. My go to work pants. They're comfortable, fit well and lightweight. The ripstop material lasts. Bought my first pair 3 years ago and I'm still wearing them. They don't repel water anymore but what do you expect after 3 years of washing.

I use them as my around the house pants. I really like that they are tapered legs. They tuck perfectly into my boots and don't drag against my heel. Only two things I don't like. The flashlight pocket is useless for my needs and it only has one phone/mag pocket on the rear. Wish there were two.

Great pants! I love them. But I am stuck with three pairs now that are too big.nnWhy in the world do they have a separate size for "pant waist" measurement and "numeric size"? You only should have one. Your waist size is your pant waist size .... PERIOD. And why would the numeric size be smaller than the waist size? If anything I would think that it would be smaller.

They are comfortable and the stretch material is good. Compared to the taclite there needs to be a little more material . They are snug and if they did not stretch I could not wear them. Im 63 and 210 lbs so a little more diameter fit material compensation in the thighs and calves would be better. Overall a great design !

Love the fit of these pants, extremely comfortable. Ive tried several brands before but nothing really fit my thighs. It was either to big or too tight. These fit perfectly. If you dont skip leg day and you have nice quads and thighs I definitely recommend these.

These are good pants, I have two other pairs and theyre reliable and comfortable however I notice the sizing is very inconsistent. One of my pairs of the ABR pro pants fits me perfectly and then the other two pairs of the same pants ordered In the same size fit either a little loose or s little long. Good pants for sure but definitely not consistent.

Havent had much time with the pant, so durability is up in the air to how long its going to last. My hopes are actually low because of how thin the pant is. I really hate the button they put on it. It is annoying to grab onto and insert. Hate it. What is the problem? It like sticks out too far and swivels a lot. Its super awkward. The inserts for the knee pads are too high. I dont need the top of my knee covered as much as the bottom. nnPockets oh how it idea is cool but practicality wise? Its just okay. I only use the little mini cargo compartment in the front to hold my slim wallet, and you could put other things in it. Idk maybe it good for pistol mags? I havent tried that. The two pockets I use daily is the back mag pocket and the front mag pocket.nThe front on is annoying ofc cause it barely fits a phone and it overlaps hard with your front right hand main pocket. So the phone goes in the back left mag pocket. The front pockets are fine, just a simple angle cut. They work, but not as good as the main pockets on the stryke pant. nnIm very indifferent toward them, I think they are alright. Again I want as much functionality as possibly on a pant. This one is closer than most of their paints. I think for the price its worth the buy right now. If the blow out in a few months its not. We will see nnThe strap in the back, no idea how to use this feature. Not sure Ill ever find a use. nnThe fit is a normal fit. Loose around legs. Its comfy and waste is true to size. Not real stretchy

This is my fourth pair of 5.11 pants I've purchased. The other three being a pair of the Defender Jeans and two pairs of Apex. I love the idea of the ABR Pro pants, but I feel like a little more elasticity in the crotch/thigh region would make them fantastic.nnFor context: I'm 6', 312lbs, and I have big, muscular thighs. With how I conceal carry, I would have to buy a size larger just to accommodate that.nnOther than that one aspect, I love these pants just as much as the other products I've bought. No other complaints.

The pants look and function great. Tons of pockets which is exactly what I needed. Unfortunately the fit was not for me. I knew I took a gamble with the straight fit but it was far too tight and lacked comfort when bending over and kneeling. I now know that I need to get relaxed fit when ordering pants from 5.11 Tactical. The return process was painless.nnIf you're used to a straight fit then this should work for you. If you need a more relaxed fit I would recommend another pair

I like that these come in waist size 35. 34's are a little snug and 36s Im always pulling up. I like the leg style. It's not all puffy down around my ankles like sailor pants and I love the pockets. I watch for sales and buy a few every time and just store them for when a current pair are damaged or start to wear which isn't often. These are the best.

I was under the impression that the ABR Pro Pants I purchased was not going to meet up with my expectations because of the straight leg length and seemingly too thin material for cold weather. They seem to be nicely warm in cold weather. The fit in my waist area was good and comfortable. I wish the close button was a snap instead of a button. They seem to be built to last. The ability to squat in comfort was pleasantly surprising. I would have given a better rating if the pants length opening was wider to fit over my work boots, snap closing mechanism instead of a button and the zipper catch was a little bit longer to grab like a pair of work pants I bought years ago.

Compared to their classic cotton tactical pants, the ABR pro is lighter and more comfortable. I like it has additional smartphone pocket at the rear, so I don't need to reach out to the cargo pockets because I need to tear apart the Velcro, which is noisy.nI would like 5.11 to replace the velcro cargo pocket flaps with buttons so we could use the pockets silently

The pants are made with quality, however, they are not sized correctly. The website claims they are "straight-fit", which is why I purchased them, but they are definitely not. They are more of a "relaxed fit". Looks like I won't be wearing them.

Pants are great! They fit well and are comfortable enough to wear during long days. I really like the slim/tapered look to them as many cargo pants are typically far too baggy. One of my favorite designs is the extra large belt loop on the back of the pants that keeps your belt from riding up onto your back when bending over, sitting down, etc. Pockets are large and the velcro on the leg pockets is strong enough to keeps things secured. Im three weeks in wearing these pants multiple days a week to work and so far no early signs of wear.

Bought these pants in shorts and loved them. Then just bought 2 pair of regular ABR full pants and was extremely disappointed that the lower leg was 1 1/2" narrower than all the other 511 cargo pants I have and I can't carry my IFAK kit on my ankle with these. Kept them and took them to a tailor to put a zipper in each pair lower left leg. $30 each for the zipper.nWon't buy them again unless they make the same pants with a wider lower leg like the Taclite Pro.

I own over 20 pairs of 5.11 pants. Only pants I wear. Ordered the ABR shorts for this last summer and loved them. The 9 pockets were perfect and the loop button in front is very sturdy to secure closure. So glad to see the snap button go as I've have 2 now stop working and not hold any longer. Had to pay a tailor.nSo, I just bought 2 pairs of the full ABR pants. Again, love the top portion but they reduced the bottom around the ankle by 1 1/2". These are cargo pants and I carry a lot of stuff including my IFAC on my ankle. But can't do that with these pants due to the narrowed lower leg. Definitely a deal breaker to buy more. Too bad cause they are the best for the upper half.

I have about 5 pairs, and some of them i have had for about 2-3 years!nThe pocket configuration is perfect for what i do and for what i carry.nI have tried numerous other pants, even different models from 5.11, and none compare to these.nThe apex pant is extremely comfortable, however they tear quite easily. I cut the legs off and now they have become my favorite shorts. nThe ABR PRO pant will always be my favorite. I would appreciate it if there were a few other colors, but that does not change my opinion of these pants.nThe only pants i wear on a daily.

Ive been wearing ABR pros for 4 years now, my latest pair (post covid) are in worse shape than my original pairs from 2018. The stitching is not the same quality and is coming out of the seems. Pretty dissapointed as I loved these but i dont think ill be buying more... pretty significant price increase and subpar quality.

The fabric is good, not too hot... great amount of flex. The pocket layout and features are well suited to many roles. However I would really like these need to have zippered thigh venting and more room around the knees. Add a neoprene insert for the knee pad and thats about all the room there is. Use a decent thickness pad insert and you get to a binding condition that will chafe and pinch over the course of a day or shift.

These are always gonna be by go to pants as well as shorts! The lightweight material snug at the ankle and many utilizable pockets and if need be, a slot for kneepads. This pants fits me well! Only thing I would like is to have the angled pocket like on the striker pan which came in the ARMY jungle fatigues back in the 80s. The price is just right especially when 20% sale is going on. I have seven pairs and still want more. I was just thinking outside the box if these didnt actually have the cargo pockets on them I would consider Wearing them to church!

I work in technical theatre and carpentry, and these pants are absolutely perfect. I can carry my entire loadout (6" wrench, leatherman, flashlight, and a roll of gaff tape) with no problem, and working on my knees isn't insanely painful for once because of the knee pads. My pair has had its fair share of the elements with Florida mud and rain and come out perfectly fine. Can't recommend these pants enough if you're doing any kind of work where you need to be mobile, quiet, and ready!

These are the VERY BEST fitting pants I have owned. The stretch in all the right places. The fabric is light but tough. Pockets, loops and hangers are well thought out and extremely well placed and usable. The fastener is my favorite. No thread to break like a traditional button. The metal button is strapped in! I have 4 pair now and will buy more to keep in reserve just in case they stop making them. nFinally, they look good enough to wear with a T-shirt or sport coat.

These are nice pants. Theyre very comfortable and you have a wide range of motion in them. The abrasion resistance is good for how thin they are. Crawling on concrete didnt seem to damage them much at all. I would buy these again.

I have been wearing 511 pants for the better part of a decade. I wear them for everyday use but more importantly I need a pair of pants that I could wear for service rifle shooting, these are the first 511 pants that allow me to get into position with the freedom of movement that I need, especially in the sitting position. I use to buy pants a size bigger to get that freedom of movement however with these pants I wear the right size and movement is unrestricted and comfortable. If I were to add to these pants I would add a snap instead of a button and I would move the belt loops on the hip forward or back to make concealed carry a bit more comfortable. For me these ABRs are the ticket for my needs and would ask 511 to keep this design. They just fit great.

My employer will pay for the Taclite Pro or EMS pants for us. I pay out of pocket for the ABR due to the extra stretch throughout the pant and extra room in the posterior and crotchal regions. The Taclite was made for a Ken Doll, flat in the front.

My first 5.11 pants. Nice fit for my trim frame. I wear a 33 waist and too many of the competitors "tactical" pants are too baggy. These pants are a little trimmer fit; not baggie but certainly not snug. I'd be comfortable to wear these in about any situation. I like the number of pockets w/o the added material creating extra bulk. Nice material, too. Wore these in a USPS match and found them comfortable, flexible and functional. I need another pair.

I use the small narrow pocket for my leather man, which I really like. The metal loop holds my keys and case for glasses. Seven belt loops is a must. Only way it could be better is if I were able to design them myself.

The color fades a bit after about a 6 months of weekly wearing and washing, nbut is normal for my other cotton blend pants. Comfortable fabric with a good straight leg fit, not too baggy. The wide selection of in between sizes (31 waist) and short rise allows for a great fit. The tool belt works good for handheld radios. Plenty of pockets for gear. Material is a bit lighter which seems cooler when warmer outside. Will have to see about durability.

After retiring from the Army I needed some good pants that were functional and rugged enough. Bought the first ones at the physical store in Colorado Springs. Bought these from online to replace the ones that were damaged from molten aluminum. nnLong story short, the pants did a wonderful job protecting me. Didn't melt and stick to my skin. Instead they smoldered a bit, but stayed together and protected me. My under armour shirt was not nearly as protective and just melted away and I received significant burns to my arm and chest, but almost none to my legs even though the explosion was ground level. Can't say enough how much I love their pants.

Up until these pants arrived on scene, the good old standard cotton 5.11 pants were my favorites. I was wearing them back when they were Royal Robin pants and you could only get them at the camping store. These are every bit as good with a little more flex.

I got these in Ranger Green, mostly for use on day hikes, anywhere from 8-15+ miles. They work very well. They are stretchy, comfortable and durable. The pockets are great, fit pretty much whatever you want. The fit of the pants is a more traditional, slightly loose fit which is nice, I wear a belt with mine. Most importantly they look cool. Highly recommend these pants.

Quick stats. I'm 5'11. Very long legs. Skinny. Electrician. Finding pants for tall skinny people is almost impossible. Then needing rip resistant, breathable, quick drying, flexible pants is what I thought to be impossible. Well not anymore. I wear these 5 days a week for work in high heat and high humidity conditions with frequent rain storms. Climbing ladders, kneeling, crawling below houses or in attics..nothing stops these pants from performing. To top it all off, I cut my arm and smeared a lot of blood on my light tan pants on accident..I thought I ruined them until I wiped the blood right off with napkins..grease, dirt, saw dust and sheetrock dust..nothing sticks. They look brand new after a month of hard work. I wore them in a massive thunderstorm, laying on the ground and working on my truck...2 hours later they were dry. I cannot recommend these enough to anyone who is in need of pants that can hold up to anything you can put them through. Oh 1 more thing. Pockets..EVERYWHERE..

My favorite feature is the front Velcro pocket, it fits a leatherman multi tool PERFECT! I wish it was on the right side though. These pants fit well too, I wear my pants high and tucked in and they have a classic work look to them. My only complaint is top of the elastic waistband is starting to show and I am not big at all. Overall a very comfortable pant, I'm not very excited about the "skinny pant" feel and was disappointed that you didn't have the length I really wanted. I had to SETTLE for a 34 x 34 instead of a 34 x 36.. I wore then at my last Boy Scout camp and was impressed by the functionality with the extreme hiking we did.

The pants were great and it came just in time. I ordered the kangaroo but the color wasnt the same as pictured. The color sent was green and its not that I dont like the color but I prefer the kangaroo. The packers should look meticulously on what colors the order are to be of good repute on customer satisfaction. nnOverall, the fit, size are fine with me. Not baggy and loose. Flexibility wise, with a lot stuff in the side and pockets are great. A little pricey but I definitely recommend.

These are very similar to the ubiquitous 5.11 Tac Lite pants, being similar in design as far as pockets go. The differences are that the material is a little lighter weight, and the cut through the lower legs is more tapered, giving it a little more of a modern look. Theres also an additional slip pocket at about the 7 oclock position, above the regular left rear pocket. Unlike the one below, the upper slip pocket doesnt have a velcro tab to secure contents. It seems sized well for a large phone or rifle mag. Also, the fastener at the top of the zipper is a button on a short cord instead of a snap. It doesnt feel as sturdy as the snap on a Tac Lite, but I own multiple pairs of the ABR, and I havent had one fail me yet. What I like about the ABR is the lightness of the fabric, which make them more comfortable in warm temperatures. Also, although the legs taper, I still have free range of movement, unlike the TRU-SPEC 24-7 Guardian pants that have a similar modern appearance but are much more constricted in the thigh and groin, making them ill-suited for hiking or other activities that require mobility. One negative of the ABR is that the material appears to attract and retain pet hair more than Tac Lites. Still, they are a fav, and I wish 5.11 made them in more colors, especially grey/storm/charcoal.

First pair I bought was from Bass Pro and loved them so much bought another and a pair of shorts on the 5.11 website and received them within a few days. They flex and stretch and are my favorites out of the complete line of 5.11 pants and shorts

ABR is a pant with extra features making them comfortable and practical. The only drawback is skinnier leg material which can make it challenging for wearing boots, or other things on the calf. Comfortable, well made and worth trying.

I had strike model before and expected similar level of quality. Unfortunately, abr material feels cheap. It catches all the debris and scratches the body a bit. Front pockets are good though.

The elastic waistband/pocket makes the pants uncomfortable and feels like keys will rip through the fabric. These pants would be better if they had the action waistband like the taclites

These pants may be a little too narrow and too weak ... Doing a few dozen squats a day - the materials tore over time, obviously the offered ones are not very strong. For those with bigger, more muscular thighs - it can be a bit cramped ... :)

These ABR were purchased alongside DELTA and QUEST.At first I preferred the Quest, but now it is a fight between the ABR and the Quest to see which one i want to wear.The ABR looks the best, although he Quest allow for slightly more range of motion.The ABR pockets work better for everything I need to carry.Key features are the ANGLES of access you get for the smaller pockets. Pleasing ergonomic, the ABR is "winning" on muscle memory taking me to the pockets!My lady says they look best on me in the following order, however I prefer the feel of the ABR and Quest over the Delta.1. I have had many different styles of 511 pants and have put them through there paces. The ABR Pros are a well built pant, I have ben blessed with a BUTT and thighs. I am 5'9" 180lbs 23/23. Unfortunately these pants get tight when I use the pockets and have to squat or bend a knee. If you are like me i would say check out the TACLITE:registered: PRO PANT! another awesome pant!hope this helps in your search.

These are my first 5.11 pants. The fit is perfect. The is closer to straight leg jeans. They are not baggy at all. I own a construction company. These pants look professional and hold shape throughout the day. I now own three pairs and will be ordering more.

I've had the abr pants for well over a year and I,ve worn them in bad weather conditions, airsoft games with constant sliding and in school, they are discreet enough to not raise attention but still super functional and comfortable I have one for airsoft and another for school but I alternate between the two when I need to. The only problem I have is pet hair and lint stick to them like glue.

Been wearing. Levi 501 Jean's for 35 years. Not anymore ..... over the years they have gone from durable denim to paper mache...freakin cheap junk. These arb pro pants are awesome... they fit great and are really comfortable. It is true that they don't breath they great, so if you live in a humid climate you might want more cotton material...I live in a dry climate so it does not really bother me. Great for every day wear and for camping....I love these pants.

They are basically fitted taclite pros, with a few extra pockets. My one complaint is, they do not breathe in the slightest manor. I mean, have you ever sweat your shins off? By 3pm I was all soggy ankles, no shins to speak of... just knees to ankle soup. I was tempted to take the pants off midday, and use my coronavirus mask as a loin cloth, just so my junk wouldnt suffocate.

I work and live on a farm and I thought I need some pants that are more durable and comfortable pants that have pockets. I asked around to see what I should get because I wanted cargo pants and I was told 5.11. I already got some of their boots which are flipping Amazing. Trust my life with them because I have. I love these pants. Plenty of space. Seems to be a pocket for anything. Fully recommend buying these pants. A bit expensive but I'm about to buy another

I've worn 5.11's for over 3 years. I have only ever torn 1 pair and it was my fault not the pants. These pants are tough and durable and will last. Slimmer then LAPG and fit better. From washing the dog to jumping fences in a duty belt and plate carrier these pants are super awesome.

Ive worn 5.11 gear most of my career and I really like my tac lite pants but Im 56 160 and it looked like I could use my pants are a parachute. These ABRs are great have all the same features as the tac lite but slimmer. My only complaint is I was there was more room in the crotch like the tac lites had. Other then that Ill buy them again

i'm a traffic signal technician, and being on my feet out in the field all day, i need a good pair of work pants that wont fall apart, or make me look like i'm morbidly obese. these pants are somewhat loose, while still looking form-fitting. i cant express really what im saying, but you dont look sloppy in these pants. plenty of pockets, great belt support loops, and they dont rip! they are strong as heck!i bought almost every color, and might even buy some more just to have extras!these really should be in your cart already!

These are a fantastic upgrade to the TACLITE Pros. Considerably less baggy in the legs/butt and the material is much more comfortable and water resistant. They're well built, durable and have pockets in all the right places. Only complaint is I wish they offered them in a 28 inseam so I don't have to have them hemmed...

I bought a pair of the Icon pants and was very impressed. Decided to buy another pair of icons and a pair of ABRs because they were on sale and much cheaper compared to the icons. I was amazed at how nice the ABRs were considering their lower price. Of course when compared to the icons, you can tell a thinner material is used but the ABRs still have the quality and comfort expected from 5.11. I dont leave reviews (not even for the icons), but Im here. Strongly recommend these pants. Good quality, good price.

Ive owned too many pants trying to find the exact one that fits my body style. I came across these on the 511 website and decided to pick up a pair at my local store. Trying them on I could tell they were the perfect fit from the start. After wearing them for about 2 weeks every day, they are my new favorite pants. Its hard to wear anything else now since I got these. I love all the pockets and have a spot for all my EDC items. I dont think Ill be buying any other kind of pants from now on unless they come out with another series. Hopefully they can come out with a grey color.

I've had all kinds of pants. I have a fat belly but thinner legs and smaller size 10 feet. All of the regular "tactical" pants have outrageously large boot cut style cuffs and it looks odd on me and makes carrying an ankle gun or ifak very awkward. I also wear my pants at the waist and not over my abdomen like all the other pants seem to be cut for. I think they also look a little less tactical while still having many options for pockets. They are priced better than a lot of other pairs too! I'm also a huge fan of the inner knee pad option. I'm so happy to have found a pair of normal/slimmer style pants that come in fat guy sizes. I would love to see pants like these that come without cargo pockets and a slit pocket on both thighs instead of the bulky tactical pouch. My biggest hope is that they start making them in charcoal grey!

I love these pants the fit and finish is pretty good, however the material is lacking i had a pair in ranger green that only lasted 10 months of wear before the crotch busted out. I thought it might have just been a fluke until my last week when my khaki ones which i bought around august did the same thing, safe to say that im pretty disappointed in the material

I have been using TacLite Pro pants for many years now. Tried the ABR Pros. At 5'11" 185 lbs. they are a great fit. Trimmer all at the way around. Now I have 3 pairs. Since they button instead of snap, I have to remember to not of yank when taking them off.

Comfortable and flexible, they seem very durable considering their light weight. Fit is a bit snug for me around the thighs and rear, I had to go a size up to stay modest. Im 62, 220, normally a 36/34. The 38/34 in the ABR fits perfect. After wearing utilities and MARPAT cammies, these feel a little thin almost flimsy, but Ive only had them for about 30 days. Other reviews say theyre pretty durable, so Im pretty confident. Other than the seemingly light material, my only other gripe is the noise. Like others have mentioned, these are not quiet pants.

I came across the ABR pros in Ranger green at the 5.11 Store in Rockville MD And I must say, these pant are way comfortable. Way more comfortable than the Tac Pros. I am the founder of American Gainz Nutrition, I'm 6' 2" 230 lbs and pretty lean (I run, eat, shoot, and squat heavy). I struggled finding tactical gear that wasn't gentleman's cut (loose and wide). I've received nothing but compliments in these pants and now prefer these over shorts when I travel. I travel all over the globe and to some pretty miserable hot & steamy locations, I've never been a fan of pants in general, but these ABRs are different level. I own 6 pairs of the khaki, even when washed harshly, come our looking great. If you are fit, like to dress in active wear and struggle wearing pants without sweating like mad, these pants with compression shorts, all day, everyday, from the range to boarding a flight, nothing but great things to say. 5.11 is the best thing that's happened to tactical gear!

So I purchased these ABR pro pants about a week ago and I just received them. They are PERFECT. (To me at least). I prefer the more fitted look and no one really had a fitted tactical style pant. When I saw these I ordered immediately. I am a 36/30 weigh about 216 and Im 510. They look great and feel even better with that bit of stretchiness on the waist line. I conceal carry, so thats a plus for me. The length runs well, and if I want the semi casual look with my converse they look super clean ! Thank you 5.11 for these great pants I will be ordering more and definitely wearing them a lot !

I have a closet full of 5.11 pants, mostly Taclite Pros, but also the original weight. These ABR pants are a tad more expensive, but you get a better fit, better material. I will replace my other pants as they wear out with ABRs, but why don't they come in coyote???

I got these in navy two days ago. So far I really like them and all of strategically placed pockets. The 33x32 fit me about right. They are light weight and comfy. They do however make some swooshing sound when moving. I'd like another pair in gray or charcoal. Most of your other pants are available in that color, why not this one?

I've been a daily wearer of the Taclite Pro pants for over six years now. I loved and still love everything about them. I saw 5.11 now offers the ABR Pro pants which seemed quite similar to the Taclite but with some minor changes. I've been meaning to try these and happened to source a pair from a store in my area in Khaki color. I can say I've found my new favorite pair of 5.11 pants and already ordered two more pairs. I like the way the button closure is designed, the slimmer fit, and I'm still able to carry my EDC system much in the same manner I do when wearing the Taclite Pro pants which is why I haven't really bothered with the other pant offerings from 5.11.

In a world where all tactical apparel is designed to fit the modern American build of men, it is difficult for a slim 56 guy who weighs 140 pounds to find clothing that fits just right. I usually find things fitting too big, or designed for different proportions that sadly my body doesn't measure up to. I love 511 products but even so found the same issue, until the ABR Pro Pant was released. After having a chance to try some on in The Woodlands, I finally have found a fitted, flexible, and durable pair of pants that addresses all the issues I have. I wear these as often as I can loving the accessibility and ability to use multiple pockets for different needs. I will be buying more of these in the near future!

Like an idiot I bought the lightest color for my uniform (khaki) not thinking about them potentially getting filthy etc. I underestimated their stain/dirt resistance! Ive spilt coffee, steak juice, and even black boot polish on these and everything has wiped right off with a little bit of water on a paper towel without any residue. For my job I have to constantly kneel down and theres no dirtying of the knees or anything. The pants themselves are 5.11 quality so tons of pockets and tough as hell. These are slim fitting, stretchy and amazing! Bottom line: Im in no rush to get out of my uniform once Im off, will probably buy a pair for personal use.

I am one of those guys that refused to buy things online just because I didnt want to go through the trouble of returning if it didnt work out. Then I bought my first 5.11 pants from Sportsman and they just fit perfectly! Literally never had pants that fit that good. I wore them everyday for about a year (I own other pants I wear too). The pants are starting to get worn out with holes in which Im going to fix, but I thought its about time I try buying straight from the website. Wow is all I can say. I have worn tac lite pros for years with just the feeling that they were ok pants. Very versatile but the comfort was just ok. When 5.11 said they upgraded the tac lite pros I thought I would give them a shot. I spent my own money to give them a shot since they are not my official duty pants and I fell in love. The are tighter fitting in all the right places and they have give to them. I couldn't be happier.
