I am a veterinarian and I use this bag to carry ultrasound probes and equipment in and out of animal hospitals all day. The zippers NEVER fail to zip perfectly without skipping a tooth. I open and close this bag 15 times a day and it is indestructible. . My gear weighs 30# and is very expensive. This is my fourth one. I only replace them because they get stinky and dirty from using it all day in and around animals. Occasionally it will get peed on and I will finally swap it for another one. I hate throwing out the old ones, because they are still perfectly functional. The only upgrade I make is a softer shoulder strap from B&H Photo.

I had been using a smaller range bag before I bought this 5. 11. It was hard to fit everything in, and I dont overpack. I love the size of the 5. 11 bag, and the removable inner bags are really handy. Lots of pockets on the outside, too. Well-made and just the right size.

Have owned several different range bags before but this bag is designed well and obviously has an experienced shooters input into the design. The strapping and zippers are robust and are better quality than most other manufactures who sell similar products, Other bags look good in the store or sitting on the floor of a closet. Depending on care this bag will be around a while

Great bag. Great build quality. Sturdy nylon and rugged zippers. Well thought out design and usability. But....nnThe double zipper design of the main compartment is fantastic, but there are no loops to lock the zippers shut. Actually, the loops are there, but on the wrong end of the zipper track! Why anyone would want to pad lock the main zipper open is beyond me. If I'm flying, I'd like to be able to padlock it shut. I gotta think this was a manufacturing mistake.

Its everything it says it is. Love the mag pouches. Very well made. It easily holds my 6 handguns 2 xds, a hellcat pro, FN .40, Sig M18 and Sig 365. You can really fill this bag if your really strategic packing. Price is good too. Having the bag now I wouldve paid $300 no problem for this bag. Just a great product buts that 511. Im 35 and I feel like this bag will still be in great condition a long long time.

A great range bag, durable, seems to be well made and thought out. Good zippers and lots of pockets. My two issues would be 'why did you not use metal attach points on the shoulder strap instead of plastic?' And a smaller issue is I wish it had a bigger space for targets...I guess I will buy some smaller targets :-)

I saw one of these bags my friend had and was instantly jealous! I had to have one for a Guardian PRS match and my son saw it, and the game was on. "Hey Dad, where did you get that?" soooooo, I bought 2 more and haven't regretted it (I have two sons)! Great bag for a great price, good enough to carry my Atlas Athena and all of the goodies.

Great range bag, can comfortably fit multiple hand guns along with pistol and rifle mags, can easily fit ear protection safety glasses, first aid kit etc however there are four things that could make this bag go above and beyond, needs metal hooks, the side pockets could open slightly more, molle on the outside would be a bonus alongwith.. a outside pocket for a bottle or a mug would be great, a spot to hold your coffee on a cold day to keep your hands free would be perfect.

Just purchased the bag at Bass Pro Shops. Love the bag. It has a great layout, has room for everything you need, and the bag itself seems to be well made. All that said, the very first time I got ready to use the bag and head out to the range, the plastic connector on the shoulder strap snapped and broke. You can't make a 43 liter bag with "Non-slip padded shoulder strap with metal + D rings" and expect a plastic hook to hold the weight. The bag was only about half full (3 small pistols, 6 clips, eye/ear protection and 3 small boxes of ammo) and as soon as I headed out the door it hit the floor. Carried the bag by hand and loved it at the range. But this bag really needs a shoulder strap that is usable and functionable. Now I am trying to decide if I want to return it or find a new shoulder strap that will work.

I didn't realize it would be so big. I'd love to return it and get the smaller, 18 L one. I had a trip to Jacksonville planned, 3.5 hours away, but my wife required emergency abdominal surgery with multiple complications and still can't travel. By the time I can get to the store to see the bags, I may be too late for a return.

For me it works great. I love how much padding is sewn into the sides of all pockets. Anything expensive carried in the bag will be well protected. nI will say that if youre using the removable ammo tote in the main compartment, youre going to have less space in the bag than youd think, but you can always remove that part and either leave it at home or use it separately. nI absolutely love the amount and size of the pockets, I love organization. Material quality- nylon, zippers, straps- is all high. nOverall 5/5 would buy again.

My 5.11 range bag is the first bag Ive purchased and taken to the range where I didnt wish it had something additional added to it. Perfectly placed pockets and sizes for your actual gear!nnI also leave it in my truck as it is very nice quality and seconds as a load out bag for me as well. Great job 5.11!

The materials the bag is made out of are high quality. It's made very well. The outside pockets are roomy and there are enough to satisfy my needs. The part I would change is the pull-out center area. I don't see the need for it. The space may have been better utilized by just having movable inner walls like in the removable pull-out center area. Also, the empty brass collector has a clip on it that can't attach anywhere on the bag. So that's a nice thing to have but useless because you can't clip it to the outside of the bag and let the dirt and residue fall thru the bottom. It makes you have to put it in the bag where all that residue and dirt will fall. I don't want that mess in my range bag or pockets. I would have also liked to have had an area for mollie attachments. nI like the bag and use it.

I really like this bag, so much so that I have two and I'm getting a third. I actually use my bags not for the range but for carrying my tools. Very sturdy and practical for what I use it for. I like the inner pull out bags because I can organize and find my tools easily. I had a 2"x4" Tan499 (5.11 Sandstone color match) velcro loop field added to the upper flaps of my bags so I could have additional identifier patches for easy quick identification as I often change my tool load out depending on what work I am doing. Highly recommended!

Nice bag but too big. When loaded, I'll need a wheelbarrow to move it, and a traffic cop to clear the pathway in front of me so I don't bump into people either with the wheelbarrow or the full bag. I should have bought something smaller.

Great bag, the Range Qualifier was too small for my needs and the Range Ready is a bit too big. But I can take 5 pistols to the range in it with no problems. Still have empty pockets. Bag is well made. Would be nice if it had lockable zippers loops just in case you needed them.

Very spacious. Love the additional pouch in the middle compartment you can pull out. The only problem w/ the bag is that one of the zippers broke off in the first week of light use. Easy enough to fix on my own but its just a hassle.

Recently purchased this 5.11 range bag online in the 'sandstone' color. I already own a smaller black range bag from Blackhawk that has served me well, but wanted a little more room along with a lighter color for ease in finding items inside the bag while at the range.nThis bag is well constructed and works great at the range having the additional room I was looking for to store magazines, ammo, a cleaning kit, small tools, etc.nnI'm very pleased with my 5.11 range bag and was able to receive 10% off the price at the time of purchase! I was amazed at the exceptionally quick delivery, as I ordered it online and received it the very next day from the 5.11 Store located in Gurnee , IL. , so 'Thanks' for your expedited delivery!nnI've used this bag at the range and really enjoy the extra organization capability it has, along with the lighter sandstone color. I also own a 5.11 Rush 24 backpack and Rush LBD Lima duffle bag both in 'sandstone', so everything goes together well. I have to keep myself in check sometimes as I have a tendency to want to really load up my range bag which can get quite heavy, but this bag can take it! nnAnyway, I've never had a problem with any of my 5.11 products. You always pay for quality, but comparison shopping revealed to me I was getting good 'bang for my buck' when compared to other respected brands and their respective cost. nnIf you're in the market for a quality range bag with good organizational capability, this would be one to consider.

I purchased this bag directly from 5.11 to be used as a range bag. It arrived 2-3 days prior to the stated delivery date to my surprise. I have used it several time to transport gear to the range and it works flawlessly. It easily accommodates several hundred rounds of ammo in the main compartment and I like the included brass bag. It has pockets and storage that fits our 3 pairs of hearing pro, glasses, some cleaning gear, paper targets, stapler and tape.

Love it so far it's been shooting with me at my regular rage as well as when visiting y uncle at his, been up to my cabin in the mountains and down to my buddy's property by the coast. nnIt's durability and ample space to fit everything I need in it makes it perfect to just grab and throw in the back of my car before heading out to go shooing where ever that may be and know I have plenty of ammo, targets, earpro, cleaning supplies and more. nnPockets are big, organization is easy and strap holds up to some serious weight. nnI have only had it for a few months now but I am happy I chose this bag it was the right choice for me.

I have used this bag for IPSC Pistol, Shotgun and RIfle matches across europe, if anything it encourages you to take too much kit. Ample for multiple pistols, spares, ammunition, mags, tools and even lightweight waterproof clothing. It is probably the minimum size for rifle as I typically carry tools, armourers wrench, spare red dot optics, three bipods, 8 mags and a few hundred rounds.

So glad I spent the money. Quality, Construction, Usability, etc. It's all there. Carry two pistols in it. Could see four no problem. The brass bag 5" x 6.26" is the greatest thing since bacon! They need to sell them separately, because I can't find anything like it. Customer service center is going above, and beyond to try to get me another one (a la carte). What a company!!!!!!!!!

This bag is excellent for carrying all of the range supplies you need. The removable tote is great for filling with ammo and setting on the table next to where youre shooting without the bulk of the rest of the bag. A nice detail included in the tote is the small drawstring bag for collecting brass or other small items you dont want loose in the bag. There are plenty of padded pockets to store anything you could ever hope to acquire. The magazine loops are a nice detail as well as several spots for storing pistols. When fully loaded its a heavy bag but the padded strap makes it comfortable to carry. My only gripe is the useless water bottle holder. It isnt wide enough to hold even my smallest bottles and is not expandable. The only thing I can see putting in there is a suppressor except that theres no strap to secure it. Fix the bottle holder and youve got the perfect 5 star bag.

I've owned this bag for 8 years now and it has been my range bag since the day I received it. The amount of room in it allows me to take what I need and organize it in an easy to find method. I have put this bag through rain, snow, and extreme heat and it's still holding up. I also empty it out and use it as a go-bag when I'm called into work. I've deployed to the various countries with this bag and I've managed to fit this bag and a backpack with enough clothes and gear for a 3-day trip making going through an airport a breeze.

I received the bag and was amazed at the room. I am still trying to figure out the best arrangement(s) for different trips to the range. The first match I had the bag at it created a bit of "Bag Envy" among some of the other shooters. If it holds up half as well as it looks like it will I will never have to purchase another. Bad news for 511, good news for the consumer. I will surely be looking to purchase other gear as I need it.

It has everything a range bag needs then some if I had to find something wrong with it it's that the clip on the brass bag is to small ,I clipped it back on itself and use a carabiner to clip it to my belt lope. I bought this bag nearly 6 years ago. I am a Certified Nurse Midwife and needed a bag to organize supplies for home births. I carry nearly 50 lb of gear. This bag gets tossed, slid, kicked, hauled up & down stairs (and once, fell down them). Slung in the car, dropped in farmyard mud. The pockets get stuffed & overstuffed. It keeps my equipment secure & protected. Electronics do not get damaged. It is as tight & tough as the day I started using it. Zippers are still perfect. The ONLY thing...the velcro handle tie might not stick quite as well. This bag has been to over 700 births. On the off chance it ever wears out, be assured I will be back for another.

Just received this bag and it is a beast! I only own one handgun but this bag could comfortably fit 5. I really like the brass bag and ammo tote that comes with this bag. Beware though if your looking for a regular size range bag this thing might no be for you. I purchased it with the idea to grow into it. As always with 5.11 products this thing is built tough and totally worth the money. It is actually easy a $150 bag. Thanks 5.11.

When I bought this bag we all thought it was a little expensive now that I've had it at least 2 years we know it was worth it. I keep 4 hand guns some ammo and several cans of cleaners plus my cleaning kit in the main compartment (in cases) I use the part that comes out for extra storage never in the bag. With everything in the main compartment I didn't expect it to hold up but it has. The others pouches are great for other storage like tools mags ect. I carry everything I think I might need in this bag and it's great for everything I've used it for. I definitely recommend it to anyone.

All in all, this bag is very sturdy and durable. I am harsh with my items and this one looks like good construction. Multiple pockets for pistols a plus. Hidden internal side compartments to add more pistols, holsters, etc. Really like the multiple magazine storage as I dont need to rummage through bag. Flap on magazine storage flaps open to use a surface to lay items on! Haven't thought of a use for the brass collection bag. Pleased with size as its big, but not bulky and can use bag for different situations. 5.11 good job!

This is a great bag, every time I try to use another bag I always go back to this one. The only issue I have is that I can pack so many things in this bag that it gets a little on the heavy side. When I bought this bag and it arrived it appeared to be a little big but when I loaded it up it was all i needed. Some other companies offer a similar bag but going with the 5.11 name you can't go wrong. Another great feature is the multiple pockets they help keep everything togather and organized. Large, roomy bag that easily accommodates multiple handguns although it is designed for two. The removable padded tray and spent ammo bag is a very nice feature. Lots of room for all range accessories and ammo. I am able to organize everything I need with the additional exterior pockets. Overall it is a high quality constructed bag made with quality materials, however I will give it one hit-the large 8 magazine pocket is great to have except when it is fully load with loaded magazines-the weight tends to make the material of the pocket sag a bit.

this bag is most versital, roomy bag well built as your gonna find!!! Trust me on that! If your debating stop! Your gonna love this bag only thing I stress to you is it's about 1-1/2 times size or regular bags. If you only are shooting one gun, one person bag probably too big, if you find your self bringing multiple guns and especially multiple shooters! Get this bag you will love it. There are a couple companies that make duplicate copies of this bag, but don't be fooled, they are not the same!! There is a reason they are cheaper, the quality of the 5.11 bag is far beyond anything else I have used. I am a firearms instructor and avid shooter and over the course of 20 years I have tried bags from every manufacturer out there. this bag has lasted longer that any other bag I have used. Big enough to haul all of your gear plus a couple pistols inside. The only draw back might be its ability to haul that weight and stand up to the abuse! Your shoulder will let you know you need to leave some gear at home, but the bag will never complain! Dont be lured in by the discount prices on the copies, they just don't stand up like the 5.11 range bag.

I love this bag. I shoot 3-Gun competitions and designed and built a gun cart specifically to hold this bag and my other gear. When you're going to the range for an extended period of time and want to take lots of ammo and/or more than one gun, this is your best choice! This bag has it all, including the great area on one of the long sides for your loaded magazines. Center compartment fits "standard size" handgun cases from S&W, Beretta, etc. Only downside so far is that the center compartment will not fit the larger gun cases from FNH, but that is what the side pockets are for...

Smartest decision I've made in a while. When I first started shooting USPSA I actually tried to go "cheap". The first bag I bought from another manufacturer was a piece of junk. This bag is great. Excellent work bag, you can carry everything you need in it. For the shooting session you can use only the three-compartment bag that is inserted in it, and leave the big one in the car. Very good material BUT for the laces i`m not such a good fan for that material, they could have used other solutions. I`m using it every single day.

Bag is very well made. I'm not particularly happy that you cannot unzip all of the outer compartments a little further, to make loading/unloading gear easier. Bag definitely has some weight to it, but yet at the same time is big enough to carry a lot of gear. I currently use this to tote 2 compact handguns, ~400 rounds of ammo, cleaning supplies, eyes & ears. I purchased this with the idea in mind that I can buy additional handguns, and that they will fit as well. Overall, a great bag... maybe a little too pricey. Would like to see the price closer to the $89 range.

This is a fantastic bag with lots of room, a center, lift out weapons & Ammo carry section with adjustable compartments and padded,zippered side pockets that are idea for pistol storage and carry to the range line. There is also a draw string bag that is great for Clip and Ammo carry. The only con is the clip storage tray. Clips tend to fall out of the elastic bands. This system needs to be re-thought. I think a continuous strip of elastic running through plastic "belt loops" that can be sinched down once the clips are in place would work.

I use this bag for 3 gun shooting. the only limit i have found so far, is how heavy you want to carry. I carry 250 rounds of ammo for each gun. all mags 223, 9mm, and AP custom 8 shot carrires. I purchased this Range Bag a few years ago from another vendor. I use it for the range and the outer pockets hold more than enough ammo for a day at the range (the pockets are all fully padded which is a nice feature ). You can carry your eyes and ears inside the bag in the removeable tote no problem. Spare magazines are easily accessible on the outside pouch and the fold down flap is great for cleaning. My only problem is that the zippered pockets don't secure as advertised they should have the lockable zippers as on the VTAC models thats the only ConI have with this product.

In addition to its intended range use, I use this at work (on a commercial boat) for my week long shifts. The only problem I have found is that it would be nice to have a ridged plate in the drop down panel that holds the mags. Something with a rubber overlay that helps keep gun parts from moving around during field cleaning. This would also promote easy clean up.

I really liked it in the beginning and I feel that it is the best of the duffel style range bags available. But it became clunky when carrying a rifle case + plate carrier/Battle belt etc. So I switched to the 511 double rifle case for all my range gear. Its much more ergonomic as far as it is a backpack and allows you to schlep additional rifle cases as well.But for the pistol range guy this bag is the beginning and end.-chris

My father is an avid shooter and has many pistols. He likes to shoot a variety of guns when he shoots so he brings 3 or 4 with him to the range. He was using a tool bag, but I wanted to get him something neat for his birthday. The bag is large and high quality. No problem with 4 guns and ammo. Lots of pockets for mags, ears and eyes. At the range the other day I had several fellow officers tell me how much they liked my 5.11 range bag. I had it stuffed with many extra magazines, ammunition, ear and eye protection, and other accoutrements necessary for a day at the range. The padded pockets were great for protecting the various handguns I brought and the interior bag was helpful for policing brass as well as holding cleaning supplies. I hadn't considered it before, but some of us left on a hot call shortly after and I was able to quickly zip the bag up and get mobile. I've owned cheaper bags from other companies but they ended up falling apart. This bag is made strong enough to handle the weight of many guns and lots of ammo!

This is by far the best range I've ever owned. It has plenty of storage for parts and accessories and also has pockets for a pistol and several magazines. The only downfall I see is that it is very large, but this is how it has to be for all of the storage. Also if you don't want to carry the entire large bag, you can just cary the smaller inner bag. All in all I would recommend this bag to anyone that spends a lot of time on the range shooting or instructing.

Everything you have will fit in this bag in an organized fashion and at that point it will become very heavy. Competition shooters will have this bag in a wagon or on a cart. The only negative I've found is that it is not a wet shoot bag. Everything inside this bag will get wet so take your zip-locs if you expect rain. Wishes are a waterproof bottom and a removable rain cover or sunny days.

I needed a range bag that would accomodate 3+ guns when going out the the range with someone. So typically I would carry additional Goggles and Ear Protection. This bag does it all and was impressed with the quality and available space. My only wish would be to have larger zipper handles with sewn-in tabs to padlock when in the "closed" position, at least in the main compartment. Otherwise, this is a Great Range bag for hauling all your gear, yet, easy to handcarry around or on the shoulder.

Although it is a little bulky, it is perfect for your every need. I love the capacity and the multiple pockets it has. It is one bag that can definitely set the standard for the rest of the industry. And if the size is a concern, you can buy the Range Qualifier Bag.

I never write product reviews but this is an exception because the 5.11 range bag is exceptional. I have gone through bags like people change socks because they can't survive my heavy weight load and daily beating. The 5.11 Tactical Range Bag is the first product that meets all my expectations and accomodates and organizes my growing inventory with quick and easy accessibility.

I had exceeded the capacity of my smaller range bag and was looking for a replacement. I happened upon this bag at a local gun show and immediately nabbed it. I got it home and transferred the items from my other bag; love the new space and organization of the 5.11 product, especially the magazine holders. It's a great bag, and I look forward to being able to better house my gear and sidearms easily in this new bag. It even comes with a pouch for spent ammo, a nice good addition and shows forward thinking on your part for the consumer's needs. Well done guys, another reason I come back to 5.11 for my essentials! This is an amazing piece of gear. Much bigger then I thought, but wouldn't have it any other way. 6 guns, 12 mags, and 500 rounds no problem. Well, other then 54 lbs all loaded. I've had this bag for about 8 months. Great capacity and provides ability to organize all range equipment well. I really like the magazine storage area, carries plenty of them securely.However, if you hump a lot of gear this bag will be heavy and rather bulky to carry around.
