This was the closest I could come to my travel needs! I travel internationally and am allowed 2 bags, each up to 158cm in total size. That is width + height + length. This bag was the largest I could find that 5. 11 offers. Backpack straps are nice. However if you fill the bag as full as I do and then try to carry it, you end up being pretty "top heavy". Also the backpack straps are not that comfortable. But the bag is designed to be a duffle bag, not really a backpack. This is not the bag for a long hike or walk in my opinion. My ideal bag would have been one of the CAMS bags, because I would have preferred the wheels over the backpack straps. That isn't a knock on this duffle bag. It served flawlessly on my flights. However the only CAMS that fit the airplane specs was a 90L bag. nnOtherwise I love the size of this bag! The material is very durable too. I also used it on a camping trip. You can really pack in lots of gear: sleeping bags, sleeping mats, camp equipment and more. I was blown away with how much stuff I slam in this bag.

I've been using this bag about a month now. I do armed security so I have my duty belt in there and a host of other things relating to this job. Plus my water for the day and lunch etc....plus some medical supplies incase of an event where I need to give aid. It's a well made bag but really has very few compartments in it. 2 zippered compartments in the lid and one on the outside of the bag...maybe 6 inches wide..Basically it's a huge bag and everything is thrown inside it. It really lacks any decent compartments. Also there is no firm structure to it. No solid botton to keep some form to the bag. It's just one big empty bag which for my use causes me to toss 20 different things inside all scattered about. No pockets. Looking forward to a more useful design.

So far it is great. Nice big bag that Im using for my wildland 14 day bag. Its well built like most of 5.11 stuff. I would definitely buy it again.

Perfect size bag. Fits both our sleeping bags and 2 pillows. Wish it had more molle loops on it for more attachments. Great product otherwise

I've had this bag for 8 years. It stays packed absolutely to max capacity all the time as my go bag for my technical rescue team. I haven't had a single issue with it. I'll be getting another one when it bites the dust.

Very well made bag. Love the different carry options between the straps and/or handles. Large room to pack a lot of stuff. Zipper opens wide to give plenty of access to add and remove items.

Awesome tough bag. Solid zippers with a great easy access opening panel. End handles are a great feature for bag handling. Side straps to tighten the contents fore easier handling is also a great feature.

Needed a bag to fit all my gear for work. I used to use 2 bags to fit a plate carrier, helmet, and other items. This bag fit the bill. It fits everything no problem. The nothing thing I wish it had was more exterior pockets for the small stuff. Theres only 1 small one on this bag. Besides that its perfect for my needs.

I have the Lima, Mike , and Xray. They are all great bags. My biggest complaint and why I can not give it 5 stars is that it is not made in Ranger Green. Why? Make it and I will buy one in a heart beat.

Purchased this LBD to transport my military gear instead of using my Seabag. Holds everything. With some space to spare. I bought the LBD Mike some years back and loved it. I put in custom secure-straps in the main compartment of the Mike, going to do the same on the X-Ray. The only down side on the X-Ray was, the zipper-heads arent the locking type like the Mike had. All in all, best bags Ive ever owned.

its a great all around bag. easy access and enough space. the only draw back is that there no way to lock the zipper with a lock. I travel a lot internationally and bought the bag for the reputation that 5.11 has by putting out quality gear that is built to withstand the punishment. unfortunately there is no way to to lock the zipper. had to improvise with a tie-wrap. small feature that shouldnt be too difficult to rectify for the future.

I use this as my "red bag". It hold all of my turnout gear, bunker tops, bottoms, mask and helmet with room to spare. If you're a firefighter or looking for a gift for one, this bag is absolutely perfect.

Spacious, to say the least! Inside the bag storage is perfect and well thought out for quick and easy access. Lots of molle capabilities on the exterior. Carry straps on both ends are a big plus as they are heavily stitched and robust. I hang the full bag like this and let the tongue layout for access to the netted cargo areas on the inside. nMain carry straps are big enough to throw over a shoulder and are built, and stitched very well. Shoulder straps should be removablethats my only con. nAlso, there are plastic scuff pads on the bottom of the bag that are a great little touch to keep the material on the bottom side from wearing through.

Duffle/backpack is super big to fit any size gear. Build quality is great. Zippers are ykk so you know they are going to hold your gear in. Straps come in handy when you need that extra support.

Duffel bag is as versatile as I thought it was going to be. The straps on the side make it very easy to cinch up to get the unused area out of the way while its used as a backpack. The backpack straps are not removable as stated in the description but there is enough slack to move them out of the way so they arent really any issue.

The construction of the bag is good. The function of the bag is good. The reason it is not 5 stars is because the shoulder straps cannot be removed. In the 5.11 marketing video it says the bag has removable shoulder straps. It does not. They are sewn on one side of the bag. There are work arounds like using a carabiner to fix the shoulder strap to the outside of the bag. Poor marketing on this one.

We purchased this to throw on top of our 4 Runner. We pack all our camp wood, stove and small shovel into it. It is super tough and looks as good as it functions. Opens ultra wide to easily get the big stuff in.

This is a very large duffle, its flaws, virtually no organization ability. One large pocket, 3 mesh zip ups and a small front zipper. No hard bottom support. But I bought it to fit all of my uniforms for work and it get the job done and is sturdy.

The LBD X-Ray is a great duffle that can carry everything you've got and a little more. The Molle capable feature and removable backpack straps work wonderfully. And the mesh pockets are brilliantly integrated. The only drawback of the product is that I wish it was a little shorter, it's just a little long for my personal preference.
